I'm not going to listen to this again until the album is out. My feelings as it stands is that it's a decent enough catchy song but I feel there will be songs on the album that I will enjoy a lot more. That's my hope anyway. I'm still very excited for the album, can't wait for my picture disc to arrive.

I playing it once or twice a day while going to work- its a great driving tune. Still makes me smile. Love the drum and base starting at around 1:30!

Waiting for its context within the album. As a standalone, I'm over it, which is really rare for a Gallagher release for me. I do trust its placement within the album to make sense though.

Still the best post-Oasis song yet. Yep, it has given me the strongest positive reaction. It's an absolute rollercoaster ride of a tune. 'A wonderful racket' as one of the guys said on the radio. When people call a lot of Oasis post-90s music bland, you kind of understand when you hear this. It's absolutely off the scale mental and my opinion is as strong as it was when I first heard it. |

Don't mind at all mate! Wow, thanks very much glider . I'm not a big fan of the song at all but it was fun to play and sing, would like to hear a Noel version of it acoustically to see how it works out. Haha for some reason after I rendered the video the handclaps were really high in the mix, they were meant to be a lot lower but oh well. Thanks again man. What do you think about the song from a songwriter's point of view when you just play it on acoustic guitar and sing? Just seen this sorry. I just don't really like the melody, I think it sounds a bit better stripped back but then again that is what it does have going for it - energy. The one bit I like is the melody for the "Smells like 1969" line, that's nice. The rest I'm not really interested in. |
