Noel is playing at Concert At Sea in The Netherlands tonight. He's on stage at 20:00 - 21:15 (19:00 - 20:15 in UK time). I'm not sure if they stream Noel's set live, but here is the link. www.concertatsea.nl/livestream/looks like they stopped streaming all the videos were online about half an hour ago and they're gone now I will keep my eyes on their site. It might appeare ondemand later. This festival is in middles of nowhere with shitty line up

First time I've got round to watching his IoW set.
I mean... it's fucking great. Why was this getting so much stick when it was on?

sounds fairly ok to me, didn't listen to it all cause I dont have much desire to listen to Noels live sets anymore.
I mean this setlist is basically what he was playing in 2011 except there is WBTM tracks instead of HFB 1 tracks and hes playing stop crying your heart out.......
8 years and thats all hes changed.

Tbh, EOTR is the one which sounded 'worst' out of all of them, but it's in no way bad.

But it works fine when you're there so I suppose that's what it boils down to. As far as a headline set at a festival goes, this set is pretty much spot on for what Noel should be doing. His 'own' gigs are where I admit he could do with mixing it up more (but he did do this year and still got people saying he hadn't, so I don't know what more he can do really). He's not gonna play rare b-sides so the quicker people accept that, the better. Liam owned a lot of Oasis songs vocally and the fact that Noel stays away from them for the reason he doesn't think he can do them justice is the closest he comes these days to paying tribute to Liam, tbh.

I just simply don't follow it much anymore because Noels sets are pretty consistent and therefore much of the same each time. There is only so many versions of "importance of being idle" I can listen to before I stop caring.

Great gig, watched it a couple of times, prefer tunes off WBTM, I get the festival crowd don’t know them as well but the latest songs are fresh sounding. Holy Mountain gets a good cheer every time it starts even at festivals. As pointed out by a few on here already, this gig only got a bad word on here.

I’ve edited it but Tbf if you go back on that thread many said the same thing. What’s “Ton”? I may be heavy but that’s a tad harsh.

I don't think enough people are talking about that version of SCYHO. Best version yet. Noel really made that song his own (well, it is, but you get the point).

It was quite interesting to see Liam and Noel within five days - Liam in Barolo, Noel in Pistoia, both amongst the most beautiful venues I've ever been to. I'd guesstimate an audience of about 8000 for Liam, and about 6000 for Noel. Both really enjoyable - with the crowd being very much into it (and the gig being more packed and much more lively) Liam just edges it for me, but musicianship-wise it's a no contest for Noel, great sound and musical direction, being able to elevate the songs (I have to say I have BSD down as a bit shite, but live it was rather good). And it's great to see how Noel enjoys himself and the music. Nice to see Gem and Chris - I just wish Gem was able to show his guitar skills a bit more. Setlist is a bit weird, getting all the Noel disco first and then it's almost exclusively Oasis - and nearly nothing from the first two Noel albums. It's not an illogical choice, but not the best either. Dead in the Water was a total highlight, maybe even better than the Oasis hits that came after. And I'd love to listen to a different closer, as the All You Need Is Love cover is fun, but a bit pointless (and not a high point for The Beatles either). Well, Liam+Noel would make quite a good 18-song Oasis setlist Totally different vibe, Noel will never have that presence and that unique voice and I think Liam will never have that ear for subtle musical details - one is a rock 'n' roll star, the other is a great songwriter, and as far as I've seen both enjoyed themselves on stage. And that's what matters, really - and for us, a great opportunity to see them so close after each other.

It would be a great version, but Gem's guitar is slightly out of tune and so seems Noel? The harmonies with the brass section are not completely on the spot, I find it hard to listen to. Especially from the 2:05 minute mark on.

that scyho version is horrible. it's noel gallagher, but it's so far removed from what it once was when it was an oasis song, it's not even funny.

It's not an illogical choice, but not the best either. I agree. I was in Pistoia and the set-list was a kind of meh. I realllllly love WBTM but I don't see the point of cutting the gic in two different parts: WBTB and Oasis tunes. Yes, All I need Is Love is a nonsense. He wrote ELEVEN album! What a anti-climax closer... Im a huge beatles fan btw. Anyway, great band!

I kinda agree with that, SCYHO power is in its simplicity, as for me Noel should just sing the song as Dead In The Water - nothing but his acoustic guitar only. I don't like Jessica's back vocals. I don't like saxes for this song. It's interesing arrangement but... meh
