Interesting to read that even before Liam joined The Rain he wanted Noel to join as well. Don't think I've read that before. I think the whole story of before the band is completely made up anyway. In fact i think alot of supersonic was just exaggerated stories and completely frabricated bullshit.

In all honesty, with Liam, it almost sounds like he's a bit bipolar. He ranges from a difficult and angry human being at times, to an honest and caring son/father/brother the next, it's no wonder it was hard for Noel to remain in Oasis with him for as long as he did.
I don't doubt that Liam is telling the truth when he talks about Noel setting the booby traps in order to instigate the break up of Oasis, however for Noel to just outright tell Liam that he's going solo was probably an impossible thing to do, given how volatile Liam can be.
In Liam's defence, I do believe that he's genuinely a bit hungrier for success than Noel is at the moment, probably because it's the first time since the early-mid 90's that he needs the money from a well received album and well attended tour. I doubt he's broke or anything, but it sounds like he's lost an absolute shit load of his accumulated wealth in the legal battles. I personally don't have any sympathy for him whatsoever in this regard, he made the mistakes that he did so he should pay the price.

If Noel has stopped speaking to Chris Martin because of that then this really is very deep routed and i cant see there ever being a reunion. That, or Noel is an absolute vagina.
The writer clearly doesnt like Liam very much from the way its written.
I fucking hate the first paragraphs too. The endless amounts of tired cliches describing him and similes to describe his look and walk. Its been done in about 200 articles from NME and its just a waste of space.

The Chris Martin thing was very interesting...as was the mentioning of Noel not speaking to Paul (if true) Really makes you think that Noel has some serious control issues. I'm not so sure about the Paris explanation, I get that LG tends to give incoherent explanations but FFS, just tell us the entire story. It was an OK interview, it had potential but the questions were old. Why waste any space on Lisa Moorish.. she did open that can of worms with her tweet but he should have kept it closed. I'm not sure it did anything for non-LG fans as it didn't really do anything for me. I would've liked to have had more questions about his solo album; performance, practice, recording.. anything but recycled Oasis questions Definitely, a wasted interview.

Yeah I agree that the writer wasted way too much space on old Oasis stories. I love me some info on Oasis history but there was nothing new :/ Should have definitely written more about Liam's album and his future plans.

He says Kevin and Perry for Gavin and Stacey. And he says dominic mohan for Gordon Smart. His mind is definitely still in the 90's 😁

I don't why you would think it was anything other than deep rooted I haven't seen anything that has suggested otherwise. I also don't think there is anything that suggests the writer doesn't like Liam.

Because maybe i was still holding into the hope that they still love each other more than hate and its just too stubborn brothers. I think the couple of years have been the most eye opening in terms of the small amount of content said. Like Liam saying how involved Sarah is and its because the songs are about meg etc. But tbh falling out with chris martin because he wanted to get a manchester legend to perform for a city that needed him? Madness.

Whoah, what? Like is that why Noel refuses to perform certain songs?

Whoah, what? Like is that why Noel refuses to perform certain songs? He made a passing remark about most oasis songs being about meg. I do think sarah being involved makes the reunion even less likely but she cant be that pissed about songs about a woman before she even knew him. Then again, my girlfriends have done worse.

"His ego is too big not to turn up (for gigs)" - Liam on Noel
Is that supposed to imply that Noel wouldn't miss a gig because he loves the adulation? Such fucking horseshit (in my opinion).

I dont like the way Liam and Noel self deprecate themselves now. Liam saying he shouts into a microphone? Talk about giving fuel to the fire. Isnt even modest, its massively selling yourself short and giving all the haters more reason to hate. Then we have Noel basically rewriting Oasis history as 1994-1996 and shite afterwards. Its so annoying as a fan to see this shit. I agree its good to see Liam be more grounded but dont lose what we have all come to love over the years. Yea, I feel like Liam may be being a little too honest here. Granted, I love the honesty and that he's more grounded, but the Molly parts were very cringey. And his reasoning for Noel wanting to go solo seems super flawed. He says he's not bitter, but he clearly is. And the journalist obviously put the snide question of, "But you're not bitter?" for a reason. He comes off as paranoid and bitter in parts, and a little too self deprecating as you pointed out.
