I think if he made it like the live version with a wall of sound then it would age badly and become a Beady Eye type song. With the clean production and that ability to let the bass breathe, you get a much better final product IMO. I really feel like the bass takes away from the vocal.... God bless.

You aint ever gonna burn my heart out "I feel like the bass takes away from the vocal" is a reference to the movie Boogie Nights.....an obscure reference, but you're a goof, anyway..... Keep taking everything way too serious.... Thanks.

Loved it! It reminds me of The Mexican, a bit soft on studio and so powerful live.

I wasn't really into the live version. The line "I got the midas touch" still makes me cringe, but these clips actually have me quite excited to hear the full song. I really dig the build up of the track, instead of just rocking guitars the whole time.

My enthusiasm for the LP has been raised again.

I don't think it's demo but anyway it sounds great and probadly grows on the end of the song to more massive sound.

Really really want the full version of Liam playing Greedy Soul on the acoustic. Sounds great.

I cranked it up on the speaker this morning. Sounds good with a bit if volume and bass. To me it's got a sound similar to don't believe the truth tracks with the acoustic levels.
Can't wait for the album!

Fucking brilliant. I liked it live, but his touring band got in the way. Demo or final version, either way this is much more like it.

Maybe think about it as a Gas Panic, the first part(which we heard from that snippet) is "calm" and maybe we'll get our wall of guitars in the second part, which would be awesome! and even if it's not the case, liam sounds so hot in this, gonna love the album That's what I thought after hearing it. Btw it's funny how Liam manages to put 60s references in his songs. This time it's Grateful Dead

I love it. If it would be wall of sound I think it would be getting old really fast like "standing on the edge of the noise". this song really builds up and it sounds really fresh!

somehow this snappy acoustig guitar and drums combination is more in your face than a fat electric guitar sound could be I think. really sounds aggressive and I love it.

Yeah it's not a demo version, the chorus is reeeeeally produced. As is Liam's voice!
Looking forward to the full version though.

I want to believe it's a demo. It's not bad, but it's too quiet. It needs the rocking guitars and wall of sound. A bit disappointing. And what the fuck with Liam's voice? Why was it pitched up to an unreal extent? Too much effects on it. I'm not an expert, but it sounds autotuned. The song is amazing, but they fucked it up a bit with production, I fear.

It makes no sense to give us a preview of the demo of an upcoming release, it's most likely the final cut, like they did with the Wall of Glass preview video in the studio when they were producing.
It sounds great. I am surprised it sounds so different to the live version. I wonder why they changed it.

I am surprised it sounds so different to the live version. I wonder why they changed it. I don't think they changed it, I guess they just rather play it live with some balls. It's totally usual, just give a look at The Mexican. The live version doesn't need to sound exactly like the studio version. At least, in this case, sounds much more decent than NG's song.
