I'd say new single Friday. RS just isn't gonna make up news. Plus Liam said just this weekend he needs to get another single out.

They probably plan to release 1 single a month / a month and a half until the record. That would make 4 or 5 tracks the audience would already know right before the UK tour which will probably happen in october.
Not a bad move in those days of Youtube and Spotify. Especially for a "new" artist with no back catalogue.
I feel like most of the tracks he's played on the tour are the fillers of the record. Or the bonus tracks.

Arcade Fire has been releasing a new single every 2 weeks until their album drops on 7/28. Also no official track listing for that LP.

I'm still stunned they didn't play it at Glastonbury. Rally hope it's out Friday but the lack of promotion is odd
Rally hope it's a good un. Been great the last month and a bit with Liam in the news and radio. All good so far

A bit bummed it isn't "For What It's Worth." Still fucking biblical! ? Why? Because "For What It's Worth" is supposed to be a big fucking Oasis ballad. Can't wait. I hope "Chinatown" is fantastic.

I find this fantastic. They play wall of Glass live because it's the first single. They hold off on Chinatown and will incorporate it into the Setlist once it's released and lastly right before they release the Album they release "for what it's worth" which is the big one and will then most likely incorporate it into the Setlist. Keeps the live sets fresh a bit.
This is actually starting to look like an extremely well thoughout and calculated move by the Record Company and team.
It would be stupid to throw all your stuff out there on tour during the summer when you are doing an official album tour this winter. You give them a taste bit by bit and it will only hype everything even more.
When he does the tour sets he can include 1-2 new songs flip out the weaker ones for Chinatown and for what it's worth and then toss in 1-2 more Oasis tunes and boom he's good to go.
Brilliant imo.

Agree with this. Its not ruined the new songs for me, but its certainly taken away that element of suprise we will get when we hear the full album (given these live songs are on the album). It would be great if some of them are b-sides but at the same time it would leave me wondering why you'd do somewhere as big as glastonbury and play them 3-4 b-sides in an hour set. He must be the only man in history to do that. Especially b-sides before theyve even come out.

They probably played the ones that they were unsure of. that's why the tracklisting has not been revelead yet. They probably have 5 to 7 tracks they're a 100% sure of and the rest of the tracklisting will depend on the reaction of the audience at the festivals.

I'm loving how much effort they're putting into the artworks this time round. Artwork doesn't sell records... so they don't care. Personally, I'm okay with the simple, straight forward (albeit kinda boring) they've gone with thus far. It shows that they are obviously selling Liam as a brand more than the songs.

And I like the artwork, classic record sleeve.

Hopefully my strategy of only listening to singles and old oasis covers pays off this album run.

I'm loving how much effort they're putting into the artworks this time round. I dont have the numbers, but did people buy the first single ? By the looks of it, they will throw four or five songs in the wild before album release, not really as singles but as teasers, with no goal of sales, just youtube views.

I was really skeptical about this since we've heard zero from Liam or any other source, but it actually seems legit. Yay, new song in a couple days, that'd be awesome.
Also, do we know how many songs the album has? I mean Noel kind of made the rule that "albuns should always have 10 songs" and I kind of hate that. Really hope Lima threw at least a couple more songs there.

The whole idea of a single has gone out the window over the last 10-12 years. Now they are just teasers to promote an albums potential diversity. The days of making huge sums of money and charting high are over for most acts unless you are like Beiber, Perry, Swift, etc. Most bands I like will usually have 3-4 songs out prior to the album drop.

I think you're spot on there. I'm with you guys. Being a late addition makes me worried though. I hope it's not a "heat of the moment" thing, where they've just finished it and think it sounds great when it's actually not that good. And then there are cases like Lyla that was a late inclusion.
