This could just be me but i'm used to seeing mostly negative comments about Liam in the media..newspapers, YouTube, Facebook etc.. unless they're Oasis fans. Anyways..since he's gone solo i've seen so many positive comments about him..there's finally a positive aura around him lol. It could be because he paid a great tribute to the people who unfortunately lost their lives and again showed up at One Love, but people seem to be seeing a different side to him which is good as we all know he acts arrogant but he's actually a cool guy in real life..definitely one of a kind. I hope he keeps this momentum going till his album is released as he deserves a #1 album. Just wanted to see if anyone else has noticed this

I still think it's crazy that his video was trending on YouTube in the state's, that's a big achievement for any rock act let alone liam' s solo project.

He made his "comeback" a week ago and has constantly been in the headlines since. The press still likes to hate him but it's good to have him back. He was right, it's been boring without him

I was laughed at when I claimed in those blasted Guardian comments that he was almost humble in one of the interviews openly talking about his limitations as a songwriter. I think that might help him and help his songs and album, people taking it a bit more serious, other than "the silly one from Oasis" trying to emulate his big brother.

There is this long awaited comeback feel to it, and that's almost always a goldmine.

I think the media has missed Liam. You look at the bigger bands now and they do lots of Spotify steaming and they sell lots of tickets but who actually knows who they are? Liam's the character the media craves.

Just wanted to see if anyone else has noticed this I've noticed Liam being on Pitchfork a fucking ton over the last 3-4 months. And I mean A FUCKING TON. Mostly good, a little bad in there. I like the coverage though.

I'm willing to bet his album will go to number 1. Kasabian's did and nobody gave a flying fuck about that, most people I've spoken to about music in the past 2 months have at least heard Wall of Glass.

Yeah the PR has been massively impressive and media all round the place are lapping it up...he's a great media performer in a market starved of interesting content

Here's a great video I saw the other day showing that "other side" of Liam.

I'm amazed people are even talking about Liam not going to #1. The only thing that could get in his way at this point is if a huge name announces an album on the same day. Which is unlikely as they would presumably want to avoid releasing an album on the same day as a genuine icon and legend. Why risk it? Noel being a dick and instigating a chart battle is the only thing that could get in his way now I think, and even then I think Liam would come out on top as he'd have the advantage on the pre-orders.

Just depends who else releases that week. Both Beady Eye albums had strong first week sales iirc, although obviously nowhere near Oasis scale.

Liam would paste Noel because of the energy and excitement he brings and because he's batched together a great album.
