There are loads of good pubs in the city centre. Just a short taxi ride or walk even from the Barras. There are quite a few pubs around the venue itself but I've never been in any as they are all Celtic pubs One of the scabby, smelly weegies on here will be able to offer better advise than me on the boozers. Jim?

Jim? Cheeky bastard 😂 Head for Maggie Mays in the Trongate. Cracking tunes and a good range of beers. McCools is also just across the road from that, it's a cool pub. There's a couple of old man pubs around that bit too if you want a cheaper beer and no doubt they'll be playing Oasis related stuff as they did when the Roses played Glasgow Green a couple of years ago. Like the inbreed chukter says though, the bars right up beside the Barra's are Celtic pubs so for obvious reasons I wouldn't visit establishments of that calibre!

There's the wee Ladywell pub on the corner of Barrack Street (the street next to the Barras on Gallowgate with a big Morrisons on it) and Duke Street (right across the road from the Tennents factory). Take a short walk and go to the end of that street and you'll find it just at the end in the corner.
Very reasonable prices, cool atmosphere and named after a holy well in Glasgow that was thought to have healing powers. So naturally, a lot of Tennents is drank there.

Hahaha actual ignore these billy boys, celtic pubs are class lol. I have been tae Maggie May's wae ma uncle for food before and it was bangin so I'd deffo recommend there too. Up the saltmarket at the cross (a 5/10 min walk fae the barras) there's the tollbooth which has pints from like 2 quid or something and it's open at 8am wae vaginas queueing up ootside it! So it'll no be fuckin deed if you go in on the monday morning on the way back lol. Here though, see if yer fucking mwi? Trust me, they will fucking fling ye oot nb, but apart from that it's magic.
For clubs am still puntin sav sundays but there's Firewater? It is honestly filled wae gimps but they play Oasis aw the time and shite like that...
(Just looked up fw events there and they're dain a We Love MCR night on the 11th. It's £3 entry n goes to the mcr funds)

I had a pint in one near it before an OCS gig and ended up talking about Manchester 2008 (Rangers fans know!) and we quickly had to get the conversation changed to save ourselves from harm!

What we thinking of the setlist? Pretty much the same as uk gigs with full band live forever? Feel as if just one more song in the encore would make it complete. A columbia for old times sake or champagne supernova etc

Anyway, I echo the other guys in terms of the best bar nearby the Barras is probably Maggie Mays. It's not gonna blow your mind but it's just a cool fucking joint and like a 5 (10 if you're drunk) minute walk to the Barras. Also, prepare to have your head blown off. I'm not just saying this, there's something about the acoustics in the Barras that makes it a special place to gig. There's a reason Oasis played it in 2001, when they could've sold out Hampden several times over - and there's a reason Noel and Liam got so into the gig. The Barrowlands is a special venue. There's maybe half a dozen throughout the UK that are similar in that they just have this 'thing' about them that makes it a hell of a gig - I promise you the Barras is one of them. I couldn't get a ticket but have a fucking blast man - I know you will.
