Leeds United are to run the rule over Marseille striker Lamine Sakho during their pre-season trip to the Republic of Ireland.
The 26-year-old forward netted five goals in 29 games last season for the French side, who have since strengthened their squad with the signing of Guingamp's Didier Drogba and Ajax's Ahmed Hossam.
Sakho played for Lens before moving to the Stade Velodrome in February 2002.
Meanwhile, Australian forward Mark Viduka, who is injured and misses the Irish tour, is interesting Chelsea according to his agent, Andrea D'Amico.
D'Amico told BBC Sport Online: "We are waiting. I am in contact with most of the important clubs in Europe about Mark.
"I can say Chelsea is one of the clubs we are in contact with, but for now the most important thing is to close a deal before we talk about it."
