Leeds United have denied that former striker Robbie Fowler has issued a writ against the club.
Reports had suggested the forward, who moved from Elland Road to Manchester City earlier this year, had issued the debt-ridden Premiership side with a writ for £3.5million.
However, the West Yorkshire side have refuted the claims with a spokesman saying: "A writ has not been served on Leeds United and there is not a case for any such writ.
"We have spoken to Robbie Fowler's advisor and he confirmed that no writ has been served and that they are extremely comfortable in their relationship with Leeds United."
