Mark Coyle. Did know of his problems through reading interviews in the past. But this documentary, when taken as journey, makes it actually clearer that Oasis lost a great man, whose influence on the Oasis sound cannot and should not be underestimated...

noel saying "my dad beat the talent into me" was a bit awkward lol. the recording of them talking just after they had been signed by alan mcgee sent shivers. "alan mcgee was meant to be there tonight, now i know what fate is" just goes to show they really DID beleive they were gonna be the biggest and the best. sad song by liam was great to hear.
felt like they over dramatised mark coyles leaving of the band, in order to fill time. and that recording of liam speaking to his dad over the phone was kinda weird and sad at the same time. can't believe the press actually printed the recording and charged people to hear it. surprised ive never seen it be mentioned by anyone else before.

Looking back, I think I'd have liked a bit less on the whole Tommy Gallagher stuff to make room for more on Maine Road and Morning Glory. Also, the documentary called the Gallaghers' mum Peggie rather than Peggy. Have people been spelling it wrong all these years?

Does anyone know if the Supersonic dvd will have any bonus content? Do know that the HMV edition will contain 27 minutes of additional footage, which includes a making of and some deleted scenes.

Looking back, I think I'd have liked a bit less on the whole Tommy Gallagher stuff to make room for more on Maine Road and Morning Glory. I thought both sections worked brilliantly in the film, although I would echo deadman's earlier comment by saying that I'd quite happily watch two hours of the Rockfield video footage. Loved seeing Liam recording his vocal for Champagne Supernova. It's tantalising to hear about this 7-hour initial cut as well, although I gather from what Mat said in the Q&A that it would be prohibitively expensive to release. I'm curious to see what the extras are like on HMV's exclusive edition of the Blu-Ray.

Gonna get my second viewing of SUPERSONIC in on Thursday. Following on from that, on Friday, I'll be spending the whole day at home, listening to my new copy of BE HERE NOW (with all it's b-sides/live performances/rarities/demos/Rethink_) on repeat...
YEAH YEAH YEAH!

That sounds exciting and promising! I'm assuming by " some of his new album", that Liam(/Debbie) played Mat the same tracks Ted Kessler heard, Greedy Soul and Over. Both of them agreeing those two are good songs, is great. But then we already know Liam can write a good song (when he's arsed enough to bother finishing them off). The thing that still worries me, is whether he can get 8 or 9 more out. On the form he's shown thus far, I wouldn't put money on him doing, but you never know... I guess that he's recorded two rough demos that have made an impression on the people who've heard them, is something to take encouragement in. Even with some of his better Oasis and Beady Eye songs, it's difficult to imagine they'd've sounded much cop in demo form.

Not really relevant, but Mat Whitecross seems like a sound fella.

I noticed someone posted a screen shot of the extra content in iTunes and one of the extras was the gig they played at Leeds in the early days that was empty. Anyone know if the extras on iTunes are different than the Blu Ray , was wondering if iTunes have any exclusive extras ?
