Barcelona have distanced themselves from a move for Arsenal striker Thierry Henry and may be priced out of the race to sign Leeds United star Harry Kewell. Earlier reports had linked Barca with talks with the Premiership pair, but Nou Camp sporting director Txiki Begiristain has put the record straight. He commented: "I think Henry may be too expensive for us. "We have economic problems at the club and his transfer fee would be very high, as would his wages." Of Kewell he added: "Kewell is a very interesting player for us. He is on our list but he is not a priority. "I think he would cost around £10-11million, maybe less to a foreign club, but that is still more than what we would want to spend on him." Begiristain did confirm, however, that Barca are still hopeful of tying up a deal for Paris St Germain's Brazilian forward Ronaldinho. cheers: .co.uk
