Arsenal are set for talks with Leeds United winger Harry Kewell, according to Elland Road chairman John McKenzie.
The 24-year-old Australian has been offered a new deal by Leeds, but has yet to sign up and has only one year left of his current contract.
McKenzie has already stated that the club would rather see Kewell leave this summer for a fee rather than on a free transfer in a year's time and the Gunners are keen to test the water.
The Leeds chief told the Yorkshire Evening Post: "The main thing now is what Harry wants to do.
"If he wants Champions League football then he's aware of this official interest from Arsenal and he'll no doubt pursue that.
"I would guess he'll be talking to Arsenal and talking to Arsene Wenger at some stage this week.
"He's heard what we've got to say, so I suppose we've got to accept that he'll want to hear what they've got to say as well.
"I think Harry wants to assess his various options and there's nothing more we can do until he's done that."

;D yeah right Henry! He would cost twice Beckham's transfer for Arsenal to sell him.
Henry, Van Nistelrooy and Raul are just too expensive for anyone at the moment. And if their clubs were stupid enough to sell any of those players for less than £40 million, they'd be mad
