been circulating for a while, I doubt it, he was so called teaming with lee mavers sometime ago.
the sun makes up shit and calls it "news", stick "close source" on it and it immediately makes it sound credible when really it could just be some pissed up drunk thinking hes the queen.

Figured as much. In retrospect, I probably didn't have to create a new thread just for a "news" article from the Sun

Can't they at least make up a more interesting cooperation? "Liam Gallagher to become frontman for Arctic Monkeys", now that's a headline.

It's disgusting how The Sun are still going in 2016. Hopefully they'll be gone completely soon along with all the other scum tabloid newspapers, the Internet is were most people get their news nowadays.

well look at this way, todays front page of the sun has orlando bloom naked on a paddle board captioned "sword of the ring, orlandos naked paddle shock" with the main headline being "Mum won £61 million and Im not getting a penny"
ignoring the fact I dont care for either story they are clearly arnt setting their bar too high, I highly doubt they have any real factually proven inside information on who Liam gallagher is working with.

Hopefully they'll be gone completely soon along with all the other scum tabloid newspapers, the Internet is were most people get their news nowadays. It will be most if not all newspapers I think, regardless of their agendas and politics. As you say the internet has changed media beyond all recognition with both corporate and independent sources available to anyone with an internet connection and no censorship rules. FWIW I tend to use multiple overseas and independent sources for news now, and it certainly gives you different angles on stories compared to how British media outlets report them, although in the case of newspapers such as The Sun and The Guardian you can second guess the articles (along with the reader comments) the majority of the time.

His brother teamed up with Snow Patrol, so why not?

He is working with Pete Yorn and Brendan Benson. eva's probably worked with those guys, too...... I'm not terribly familar with Pete Yorn or Brendan Benson.....heard a Pete Yorn song on the radio not too long ago, was pretty good.....think he's pretty well respected in the music industry; and, I know Brendan Benson was in the Raconteurs with Jack White, and Jack White's the golden child of the music industry....personally, think Jack White seems like an asshole, and find his voice annoying some times, but, oh well..... God bless.

Maybe there is some truth behind it but the headline is just bullshit! Its about a collaboration between McDaid and Liam. Johnny McDaid is well known songwriter and producer but he is not Snow Patrol. He was frontman of Vega4 who broke up some years ago and after this he worked with a lot of other musicians and he joined Snow Patrol from time to time. Nothing more or less.

Sometimes I like to stand outside shops and throw rotten fish at people carrying the Sun.
Like Liam I am also struggling with no longer being relevant

I think the saving grace for The Daily Star is it isn't taken that seriously by the majority of the British public- remember when they ran three headlines in one week about "Ghost sightings of Black Eyed Children"? - Independent top 100The worrying thing about The Sun, Daily Mail and The Guardian as three examples are that people of my generation especially and older (1970's ) who read them do seem to take their printed word as gospel. I think it is getting better regarding the younger generations after talking to posters here and on other platforms as they seem to look for multiple sources for news stories rather than reading one take on it. This at the moment means the over a century out of date left/right political stances continue to be stoked by these newspapers with a readership who by and large believe what they are told. I personally look forward to a time I may not live to see when it becomes as good as impossible to break a news story in the controlled manner certain factions and/or Governments would like to do as they did throughout the twentieth century and before
