Fuckin hell pal, he's no even dead. A bit tasteless to give the death signal on the basis of a questionable news source before it's even confirmed?

Think it's insane that you're making a thread called RIP Muhammed Ali while the man wasn't even dead yet.
Anyway, as he IS now..RIP.

The greatest sportsperson of all time, and one of the greatest icons of all time. A legend in the most solemn sense of the world.
My dad really, really, really loved him. Every year he used to write Ali a birthday letter and wish him happy birthday, sending his love. He got his autograph three times, and shook his hand. In the bookcase next to me now we have at least fifteen books on Ali, and I went with him to London to actually see Ali in person a few years ago. When my dad was a boy he used to cry every time Ali lost and would celebrate every time he won. I've kind of taken on love for him though my dad, which is why I'm probably more affected by his death than any other celebrity. RIP.

I'm not even a boxing fan (I don't mind it personally, I've watched the odd game) but the fact that he's easily the greatest sportsman of all time even with non-boxing fans shows how he transcended the sport. RIP. A massive massive loss.

RIP. A massive massive loss. The fact he won Sports Personality of the Century, with more votes than the rest of the field combined, just shows how loved he was - not just as a sportsman but as a human being. I can't see there being another one like him, at least anytime soon.
