Leeds United have reacted angrily to suggestions that a summer of sales lies ahead at Elland Road. Press reports had hinted that caretaker boss Peter Reid wanted to clear out the squad before agreeing to a permanent deal with the club, but such talk has been totally rejected. Alan Smith, Harry Kewell and Paul Robinson were all rumoured to be departing, with Manchester United linked with Kewell and Robinson. But Reid has denied such talk, along with the suggestion that Smith's disciplinary record would see him exit the club. Reid told the club's official website: "It's not even worth commenting on really. "I haven't spoken to anyone about what I would do and I haven't said anything about Alan Smith's future." /me cheers to www.nationwide.co.uk/football/common/TeamNews.asp?TeamID=161&ID=53581&W=0
