I enjoy Once but One of Us a better song I agree. In fact it's Liam's best solo effort IMO. One Of Us is definitely better than Once, but Wall of Glass is his best imo. I Never Wanna Be Like You.

There’s nothing more cringe than people describing things as “cringe”!

Wall Of Glass for me never really did anything. I can totally understand why it worked and why people like it a lot. It's indeed catchy and as a lead single, it's the type of song it does the business. But I find myself finding the melody repetitive and expecting the song in the beginning to grow out of it but it never does.

That's still only 11 songs in 20 years since Little James. It's why I think people are a bit wishful in thinking he could write an album entirely on his own. nah! I didn't say he could write an album entirely. I thought some people think he cannot write any good songs, so I said that. I wish 2-3 songs by Liam only on an album, like As You Were. Bold Greedy soul When I’m in need You better run I get by Universal gleam I’ve all I need All my people/all mankind (I think) Never wanna be like you 9/15 written by Liam alone (Still surprises me to see Liam didn’t write Chinatown. Someone was clearly trying to make us think he did)

Bold is great on record but tragic live. Fwiw is like a better version of Once. Like them both. Wat? The Bold on record is anaemic compared to the live versions. FWIW has to much sugar with Once they refined it to take that out of it.

Once seems to go over real well live, as does FWIW. Bold is a freaking tune but live it's the perfect bathroom/beer break song, the band just can't pull it off live IMO.

Once isn't nearly as good as fwiw. He could just about do it in 2017 but there's not really a chance now unless he sings the chorus toned down which sounds a bit shit really.

Molly tells in Grazia magazine that 'Now That I’ve Found You' was a Christmas present and Liam played it to her on Christmas Day 2018. "Everyone was listening at the table getting emotional." It must be weird writing an emotional and personal song with a bunch of co writers.

I hope Bold and Greedy Soul are back in the Setlist for Heaton Park. Full Band Versions. Not the weak Semi-Acoustic Versions we've been treated to most recently

Was really hoping that we would get the Acoustic Sessions released on vinyl for RSD 2020 but it’s not to be....

Every time I hear that line "You're a snake, you're a weasel / You're a tadpole in the sea" all I can think about is a poor freshwater amphibian dying an awful, painful death in saltwater. I guess that goes with the general vibe of the song, even though I'm not 100% convinced it was intentional...

Decent enough song though.

Now I've listened to it again, and I maintain Liam sings "pebble" the way a normal person would sing "tadpole." But also the previous two items in the list are animals! And then suddenly we've switched to mineral (and skipped vegetable entirely - I wonder how long it'll take for him to fit "potato" into a song...).

http://instagram.com/p/B9esAbPlDQ3 Reminds me of when Liam used to refer to himself as 'The Salmon King' and was giving advice on how to prepare your salmon best. Seemed like a classic Liamism at the time but I still find it weird af because in the same yellow press article, there was a report about Madonna being on the salmon as well.
