Just read Dan Wootton's latest attempt to resurrect the domestic violence story. Basically throwing his toys out of the pram because Liam hasn't had his career destroyed by it. Calling out Glastonbury for allowing him to perform. What an unpleasant arse that man is. Not unexpected. The Sun won’t give up, and what better timing for them than Glasto, Tour announcement, basically waiting for Liam to be top of the game. And oh there’ll be more, much more. There won't, nobody takes The Sun seriously. Look at the comments on Wooton's tweets, the guy's seen as a joke. |

He has nothing new to say, just retreading the same ground in the hopes that someone will latch on. That neck grabbing incident is old news and whilst I won't make excuses for it, its pretty clear that Liam and debbie are in a good place and didnt see the issue as anything that important. If they are happy then just fuck off and leave it alone. Its really not anyone's business as long as debbie is ok and shes made it pretty clear that she is. the article just smacks of jealousy and desperation tbh. |

Regardless of what I think of Dan Wootton (I hope he chokes on a haribo), it's genuinely so worrying that in the media - even if it is just tabloids - let people hold vendettas like this so obviously. Surely someone around him should be saying let this drop now. Spoke volumes that when the initial story broke that he couldn't find one person to dish any dirt on Liam. It's actually been really refreshing to see the public reaction to this and just how little this man can actually influence. |

Like you say its worrying really. Its basically like posting a status on facebook pointing out how much you dislike a person except its in a national newspaper.

Well, unless she physically attacked him first then I don't think there's much of an argument that grabbing her by the throat is the right way to go about that but it's all really between them anyway. No harm was done and the real concern is whether there's a pattern of behaviour and there's no indication that there is. People make mistakes and if they're lucky enough to get away with one then it's about whether you take that as a huge stroke of luck or an excuse to carry on. Anyway, I don't think anybody in the country believes Fat Dan gives a shit about domestic abuse or misogyny or anything other than printing Liam-hate bullshit. |

Don't get me wrong before anyone starts, i know Liam has been bad, but the difference is all of his tweets have been there for everyone to openly criticise. She is planting seeds that very few people see, knowing they'll get back to Liam. The funny thing is you can hear the exact same quotes from Noel in his boxers walking around the house. Same with Anais post about Liam not writing his own songs before we heard Noel make that comment. I think it mainly shows how annoyed they are Liam is so big now and not in the gutter like they wanted. I mean, Noel's set his half Oasis. Do they just choose to ignore that and not call that a tribute act? |

As for who’s the “better person,” it’s hard for any of us who don’t know them personally to say. Having said that, I can emphasise with those sentiments a little bit.
I don’t avidly follow Liam anymore, but occasionally I’ll watch him on something (like today, playing Glasto), and he’ll make me feel like I’m a teenager all over again. I’m absolutely alive again, and so is the dream of rock ‘n’ roll. I too could “have it all:” it’s just a matter of how much I want it.
Whereas with Noel it has become hard for me to feel any great emotional connection to him. For all he goes on about still writing uplifting songs when everyone else is wallowing in fear and self-pity in these politically unstable times, I don’t feel like his songs were written for me anymore. It feels like he inhabits another world I’m barred from. He always did, of course—he wrote his best stuff before I was even born, for Christ sake; and I’m not using the “he’s a traitor to his class” line here. But for whatever reason that thing he talked about in his closing monologue in Supersonic, about making people feel something that was indescribable, I still feel that way with Oasis, and occasionally with Liam, but not with Noel.
Anyway. This post is quite long enough.
