Notice that the Rolling Stones are resuming the second half of their US-based No Filter tour that Liam was previously supposed to support on before the pandemic, now with dates scheduled in October 2021. No supporting acts are listed for the new dates and a little skeptical on the timing for him but ...

I found this on PPL site, they re-recorded that song together? Nice find, it certainly looks that way. Liam did say it was his favourite Ashcroft song at one point if I remember correctly. Great tune, think it would be a great song for Liam to cover, or at least duet with Richard on.

I found this on PPL site, they re-recorded that song together? If I remember correctly Ashcroft is set to release an acoustic greatest hits album, I guess Liam was a guest if he recorded a version of the song.

If I remember correctly Ashcroft is set to release an acoustic greatest hits album, I guess Liam was a guest if he recorded a version of the song. Yeah Liam hinted several months ago on twitter that he had done something with Ashcroft for the album. Not sure when this album is actually coming out. Ashcroft has a bunch of acoustic gigs booked in the Fall so that seems most likely, but he's not really been heard from since he pulled out of Tramlines for having testing requirements. Unclear if he's going to make that into a thing but hopefully not.

Definitely going to hamper his ability to tour in most major cities worldwide in this next year. Sad choice. People in the entertainment industry need to work (I realize he doesn't) and this is how it is possible.

I stumbled across this great Liam interview where he's also quite open about his Hashimoto's disease.

Would love to see Liam cover this one. He proved he could do the 'yelling' part at the end well with Wigwam. This is such a banger of a song.

This is the kind of cover that would be super cool for Liam to do. He'd absolutely nail it, but it's also not a song a lot of people beyond a small circle are going to know so it wouldn't just be a by-the-numbers imitation and it'd be great to turn more people on to Harry Nilsson. I know he's mentioned doing Nilsson before so you never know ...

Being a highly acclaimed film, and it was used heavily in a memorable scene (also where I first heard it!). I honestly could see Liam liking that kind of thing as well, with Nilsson being a very close friend of John Lennon.

Harry Nilsson is like the Beatles, no one can cover him properly. He is Harry Nilsson. the one and only.

Harry Nilsson is like the Beatles, no one can cover him properly. He is Harry Nilsson. the one and only. Yeah but Harry Nilsson covers are not a dime a dozen like Beatles covers. In fact, there are hardly any in recent history. Still think Liam could do a blazing "Jump Into the Fire." And it would only turn more people onto him. Harry shouldn't fade into even further obscurity, The Beatles themselves don't have that worry.

Totally forgot about this tune...and yep I heard first time on thr coke paranoia Liota scene. One of THE best movies ever

Harry Nilsson is like the Beatles, no one can cover him properly. He is Harry Nilsson. the one and only. Which is kind of ironic, as arguably his two best known songs were covers (Everybody’s Talkin’ and Without You). I guess in both cases he made them his own.

It's a crying shame that the acoustic sessions didn't get a vinyl release, despite the EP artwork being a photo of vinyl... It'd probably be my no. 1 most played disc. I love it!
Alright Now and Sad Song are wonderful. I definitely prefer this to MTV Unplugged.
EDIT: Not to mention they're a brilliant showcase Liam's outstanding voice. He sounds absolutely spectacular.
EDIT 2: Shame MTV came with a poster in the second sleeve and not the acoustic sessions as a bonus disc haha.

I think it's took for granted how much Liam has spoilt us with some of the additions to his set since his comeback.
Headshrinker Fade Away Gas Panic D'yer Wanna Be A Spaceman Sad Song Cast No Shadow D'you Know What I Mean? Be Here Now Listen Up Whatever Rockin' Chair Don't Look Back In Anger Stand By Me Hello
Just look at that for a list. It would have been very easy to just stick to what he knew from the Oasis days but he's constantly chucked surprises in there. Don't think many of us before this solo come back would have dreamt of some of them songs being performed ever again by Liam and I think he deserves a lot of credit for that.
Probably missed a couple there as well.
