And it was a huge moment for his comeback. Maybe not make or break, but important. I remember that lovely scene at the end when he went for a group hug with his sons and Debbie, like a "I did well, didn't I?" Also let's not forget "Don't look back in anger". I remember being totally beside myself afterwards for hours!
Good times!
PS: Watching a dodgy stream, of course, sadly not being there!
Yeah, it was a huge moment for his comeback. But it was such a good gig and that version of Don't Look Back In Anger was great. This for me was Liam enjoying himself and at his peak. Humble also at the same time.

Humble also at the same time. Yeah, I agree with you and I think that Liam was probably excited to play a big gig again after Beady Eye.

This tune has really risen through the ranks over the last number of months. Top tune. Ive said its my favourite Liam solo song a few times, but its also probably the song i related to the most out of everything post-Oasis by either Noel or Liam/Beady Eye. Id called it his most underrated song , but it seems that may not be the case anymore, as it seems to be growing on a lot of people 👍

I can't find the answer to this: Why wasn't Once released as a 7"? It was a single and it would've sold the best.

Once is a good song but it's not the best on Why Me Why Not? And, I'm not sure that it would have sold best.

That Glasto 17 gig was fantastic - Liam riding the wave back to the top.
As it was!
And I was standing 50 yards from him!
And then Reading two months later - man, that was a great year!

It's 3 years ago today since Liam played at the Trnsmt Festival in Glasgow. That was another great concert by him. Also it was 3 years ago yesterday since he played at Finsbury Park. Time flies.

This tune has really risen through the ranks over the last number of months. Top tune. One of the tunes from his second album that clicked with me on first listen. One of his best, for sure. Comes across so much more natural and effortless than the more manufactured-sounding ballads that have represented his introspective side so far. Also has that same hazy-summer feel as I've All I Need. Good tune.

Misunderstood is great but I prefer the other two bonus tracks.

I didn't rate All You're Dreaming Of too highly when it came out but listening to it now, it makes me instantly feel like it's Christmas. I think I'll resort to listening to it on the 12" when it's actually Christmas time only so it doesn't lose its magic.

I haven't listened to this song since last Christmas, I like it but it's a song to play around that time of the year.

I've always liked All You're Dreaming Of, but I wish the mix didn't sound so awful. The vocals are way too loud in my opinion.

Anybody in the mood for a slow version of "Listen Up" with Liam on vocals? Here is a mix I did recently:

Currently listening back to both of his albums and I must say, One of Us stays fresh with every listen. It sounds as great live as it does on the album, it’s not difficult to pull of vocally - it should always be included on the setlist.
Same with Alright Now actually. Perfect vocals and production with both of them.

You Better Run is also a great Liam track which is underrated. As it was (documentary) gave it a new dimension for me. Films tend to do that to music since I get to hear it reframed in a context that works. Its now one of my favourite work-out tracks, just gives me such triumphant and aggressive feelings.

I've never thought of it like that as I've always loved the track. But yeah, that's a good point about songs in films.

I think from now on, Liam should open his gigs with a cover of REO Speedwagon’s Rock ‘N Roll Star.
