Leeds United caretaker boss Peter Reid believes that the decision taken by his predecessor Terry Venables not to enter the InterToto Cup was right. Participation in the summer competition could have led to qualification for the UEFA Cup for the Elland Road outfit, but Reid is in no doubt that the Premiership has to be the club's number one priority. "I do think it's important that your players get the rest they need," he told the club's official website. "If you got six or seven injuries you would never forgive yourself and at the end of the day it's the Premiership that's most important."
