Just from the teaser, Blind Guardian somehow have done an Elves version song of every David Eddings book. Impressive AND a bass player.

The Crimson Rambler , I think you'd like this weird single that came out last week. Also, it's feast time again! New Harry Styles, Lykke Li, Everything Everything, and Flume albums today.

Viagra Boys are very possibly my favourite band of the last few years, so yeah, I'm defo a fan. Their last single, ' Ain't No Thief' is my favourite song of the year so far. Love everything about it. My only slight discrepancy with ' Troglodyte' is that it clearly rips Devo's ' Girl U Want' in a fair few places. This isn't the first time they've done this either as ' Slow Learner', a song off their debut, clearly rips ' Roadrunner' by The Modern Lovers. Regardless I'm still a big fan of both tracks. It's not as if Oasis were above doing the same! Regarding new releases, I enjoyed the new Dangermouse/Black Thought single which was released a week or so ago. You might enjoy that...

Having listened to 'Believer' recently I thought I'd properly check out the rest of The Real People's Marshmellow Lane. I already know a couple of the tracks but I've never given the record a proper listen. First impressions: It's pretty good! The Griffith brothers clearly have some songwriting chops. I can see why Liam & Noel respected them, particularly back in the early days. Here's an early ranking/rating of the album: Feel the Pain - 8 Run and Hide - 7.5 Car Outside - 7.5 Sooner or Later - 7 Believer - 7 Seen the Light - 7 I Don’t Belong - 6.5 Dream On - 6.5 Too Much Too Young - 6.5 Remember the Time - 6 What You Want - 6 Somehow Fly - 5.5 My Own Dream - 5.5 Somethings Must Change - 5 Someone - 5 I'd say the record is a little long for my tastes for what it is. Personally I'd have probably dropped about 3 tracks just to make it a little leaner and come in around 38 minutes. I'm not hugely convinced with the sequencing either. A fair few of weaker tracks come in early doors and it muted my enjoyment of the record. 'Sooner or Later' is probably the natural closer to my ears. It reminds me of 'I've All I Need' a bit actually. Something like 'Dream On'-'Believer'-'Sooner or Later' would probably have been my ending of choice. Overall though it's a good record and I recommend a listen. Could anyone clarify for me as to why the record never came out at the time? Also does anyone know why only 'Dream On' made it onto their next LP proper? Edit: Updated Favourite 5...
1) Car Outside 2) Run and Hide 3) Seen The Light 4) Believer 5) Sooner Or Later

I haven't had this feeling in a while but what a great time to be a fan of rock music. Obviously, it's not like in the glory days but compared to the last few years (not only concerning what the pandemic did to the music industry) it's pretty good.

Woooow, just been to a Sigrid concert in Vienna and it had my mind blown. She and her band were epic as usual and, unexpectedly, the Austrian crowd was brilliant too. She’s skandi pop broadly speaking but I can imagine a lot of Oasis fans enjoying these songs:
Is she’s around your town, I’d definitely go and see her because she’s just that great.

I was previously of the opinion that Queen is a band that I find overrated, yet I like a couple of their songs. Just this morning I randomly decided to go back and listen to these songs again and... no, I was wrong. They're not shit, but I realized I am 100% indifferent to them.
Funny how this also coincided with seeing Brian May feature at the Cringe fest that is that whole Queen Elizabeth jubilee shit. While I'm indifferent to the band, I've now decided that Brian May is a twat. To be fair to him though, the entire band gives off strong vibes of not standing for anything, unless that something is the monarchy.
Ok, maybe I do hate Queen.

One wonders why Voyager's White Shadow isn't an anime theme at this point.
(Personally it is on their weakest album imo)

Thing I didn't know: David Beckham's favourite band is The Stone Roses. Is that why he's trying to be as big of a twat as Ian Brown?
