The Beach Boys' Heroes & Villains is sheer genius. It's fucking bonkers. The story of Brian trying to compete with The Beatles, it's debut on KHJ and the song's failure to live up to what he had previously released is heartbreaking.

Cannot get over Rough and Rowdy Ways. It's one of the best albums Dylan's ever made. Right up there with his classics. It's his most emotive vocal performance ever. It's album of the year. I'm shocked by how good it is - I didn't think he had this left in his locker.

I'm shocked by how good it is - I didn't think he had this left in his locker. I love how it feels like Dylan writing songs that fit with his older, rougher tone and more limited vocal range. He speaks as a wise, old poet who has seen experience and can apply it to modern times and he paints beautiful pictures on the R&RW songs. Murder Most Foul still blows my mind, especially in the context of these times we live in. Dylan recalls memories from his younger years and thinks of how it relates to now where memories are being shaped for younger people today, and where his own memories fit within that. I think of the "Play ______" lines at the end, it relates to modern technology and also touches on things from his younger days by using that motif. Great song in particular and a particularly great album.

I'm glad we finally got a new original album, I really wasnt interested in his covers albums or most of the bootleg series he's put out recently. I'm not particularly a fan on younger Dylan, so I really hope we get another post-2000 based bootleg series album.

If you had to listen to one album on repeat for 24 hours, what would it be?

Yeah that's a pretty impressive list of names for sure. Love that album. I want to mention Death In Vegas as well. The Contino Sessions and Scorpio Rising had Liam Gallagher, Iggy Pop, Jim Reid, Paul Weller, Mani, Bobby Gillespie, Hope Sandoval, Dot Allison and Andrew Weatherall.

If you had to listen to one album on repeat for 24 hours, what would it be? That's tough. I don't think there's any album I could hear 30 times in a row. I would probably pick something long just to hear it fewer times.

Clip of a new song Kanye put on Twitter. Like Wash Us in the Blood, sounds pretty good but not God-level. I like the old-school soul sample and more heartfelt vibe, plus it's always sad to see that clip of him singing with his mum not long before she died. Anyway, people are thinking that it might have a Kendrick feature, depending on whether you think that "uh" at 2:14 sounds like him or not. mystoryisgory World71R, you're our Kendrick fanatics, do you think that's him?

Oooh, it might be. The song has a soulful hip-hop vibe to it that Kendrick is known for and the transition gives off some Kendrick vibes, especially with those harmonies and chorus vocals. I'd wager to say it's him.

Sounds a lot like him but tbh I'm not 100% convinced it is him. It sounds like him when I listen carefully but not when just casually listening to the clip ya know? Doesn't jump out at me like I thought it might.

Could easily be a different 10 every day of my life. Agreed. As of right now for me in chronological order: Fake Plastic Trees Motion Picture Soundtrack (Thom's piano demo from the OKNOTOK tape, this one's stunningly beautiful) Lift (Minidisc Version with the 8-bit intro) Let Down There There All I Need Reckoner These Are My Twisted Words Codex (strangely this one rarely gets mentioned) Daydreaming Funnily enough, Kid A is actually my favourite album and I just had to skip it over completely. Dawn Chorus is a contender as well and it was apparently worked on with the band but yeah...
