Could easily be a different 10 every day of my life. Agreed. As of right now for me in chronological order: Fake Plastic Trees Motion Picture Soundtrack (Thom's piano demo from the OKNOTOK tape, this one's stunningly beautiful) Lift (Minidisc Version with the 8-bit intro) Let Down There There All I Need Reckoner These Are My Twisted Words Codex (strangely this one rarely gets mentioned) Daydreaming Funnily enough, Kid A is actually my favourite album and I just had to skip it over completely. Dawn Chorus is a contender as well and it was apparently worked on with the band but yeah... Dawn Chorus is flat out one of Thom’s best but it is firmly in the solo camp. It was a long rumored radiohead title but I believe that was just a different song all together and fans just cobbling together their own theories over potential songs.

They've become like family members. You're used to them, you get fed of them, you love them dearly still. Have you ever heard this early hybrid of Exit Music and Life in a Glasshouse from the Minidisc leak? Fascinating stuff.

There There No one has mentioned Creep yet Yeah, Bulletproof is one of those treasures I tend to forget about. What a tune. I remember reading that all those beautiful ambient guitar layers were improvised and recorded by Ed while being in a seperated control room and not being allowed to play along to the actual backing track. I know, it has became somthing of a running gag but I love the idea that his backing vocals basically consists of himself screaming his own forename in a theatralic way (i.e. Weird Fishes, Lift)

Just because no one's mentioned it yet. This is Johnny Greenwood proving why he is held in such high regard. Who knew existential dread could be this relaxing?

Another top 10 pick that might risk being overlooked. Hypnotic. Brilliant.

So wait, nobody's mentioned Burn The Witch yet??
Ok so I've noticed that while I'm not a Radiohead hardcore fan, the songs I really, really like by them truly make me passionate and engaged in a way that sometimes surprises me. Guess that's simply the sign of greatness. You don't have to love their every song to acknowledge it.

Another Amnesiac-era favourite:
Secretly, I wish they'd sound like this again. That sense of nuclear winter. No romance, no prettiness, just metal bunkers and genetically modified animals.

Top 10 Radiohead b-sides........................
01 Trickster 02 Permanent Daylight 03 Gagging Order 04 Cuttooth 05 Polyethylene Parts 1 & 2 06 Coke Babies 07 Killer Cars 08 Fog 09 How Can You Be Sure? 10 Staircase
Wasn’t sure where to put songs from In Rainbows bonus tracks. Not really b-sides. More of additional content. What’s a b-side post 2005 anyways?
Again, this could change daily....................................

They were chatting bollocks, too. The b-side version is 10x better. They are both b-sides actually. Only on the UKCD1 (CDR6) version. For most versions of the Go to Sleep single, I Am a Wicked Child was used instead - hence the original Fog being known as the b-side version.

I’m well aware having lived through it. It was a joke. I was in nursery at the time. I once had an argument there with a girl who insisted you painted the number 8 by doing two circles, one on top of each other, whereas I had already learned how to do it in one swish motion. Ahead of the pack, even then. The “Go To Sleep” single I bought a Virgin record store in Times Square in 2003 has Fog (Again) as one of the b-sides. Granted we all knew at the time it was just a different live rendition of the Amnesiac b-side. Sorta like “Like Spinning Plates” on the I Might Be Wrong EP.

Hence why the original is known as the b-side version, and the live recording is known as the EP version.

I Am a Wicked Child was the replacement on one, with I Am Citizen Insane subbed in on the other. The point is just that Fog (Again) is usually referred to as the EP version because that's the only release that always features it. In fairness, if there had been any Amnesiac EP then the two would be almost identical in release, seeing as the US version of the Knives Out single doesn't feature the b-side version, either. Gotta get the European/CDUK2/Japanese version for that. Thank fuck for streaming is all I can say.

Well I guess I should have traveled back in time to tell myself “don’t buy the UK import you found at Virigin Mega Store” a USA version will be out soon. It doesn’t work that way. I collected singles back in the day from my fav bands. So I got that one too since it featured one of my fav b-sides reworked. Being an American Im not even sure what the CD1 and CD2 nonsense means. Oasis never did that garbage.
