Why don’t we have the full Finsbury Park video of the gig?

Revisiting Definitely Maybe b-sides I haven't heard for a while. Cloudburst is some tune. The bass is so good, I can't believe it's Guigsy. Is it Noel?

Maybe but probably not as I don't think Noel likes the album much. It could have, should have been better. Shit, we say that about every Oasis album post 1998 it seems.

Been listening to DOYS a lot this week. It was the first album I ever bought and as I became a fan in 2007 it was my first new Oasis release. I absolutely loved the album at the time when it came out, played it endlessly and didn't hear the flaws that others did, it was great and everything I wanted it to be.
I haven't listened to it in years until now and my thoughts have changed obviously. The first 5 tracks + Falling Down are bangers and sit easily among the best stuff they've done since BHN, but what struck me recently is what the hell is going on with Liam's voice on that album? It's so processed and unnatural sounding. DBTT and DGSS his vocals were very raw but that album in the middle sounds strange. I can't work out what they've done, it's not like auto tune because he's always been able to hit the notes in the studio, it's more like all the vocals are double tracked but from different takes especially on Bag It Up, the Turning, TSOTL and Soldier On. Does anyone know what tools or filters they used on him on that album? I actually like the end result as it fits the soft psychedelic vibe of the album but it's very unnatural sounding and I'd imagine very different from the actual raw takes he did in the studio.

To me, DOYS sounds like it could have been the natural follow up to SOTSOG.
I do like DOYS a lot as it is: but I feel with the R Fearless version of TBWTL, the Twiggy mix of IOT and a better version of Record Machine in there it would be even better. I don’t mind TNOR or AGN.

That's very true we do say that for some reason. However, each album does have it's flaws but there are some good songs as well on each album from the 2000's they're not all bad.

SOTSOG was lackluster seller compared to their previous albums. Plus so so reviews. I wish Noel didn’t quit on the boundaries he pushed on SOTSOG. That album sounds great sonically. But Noel got what he wanted. Big selling singles again.

Maybe cut DOYS to 10 tracks and replace a couple songs and its a pretty strong penultimate album. The opening tracks are too strong for its own good.

I’ve thought of it as; Definitely Maybe covers the topic of wanting to get out, pursue your dreams but ultimately leave your loved ones behind (e.g Rock N’ Roll Star, Slide Away) What’s The Story covers about the difficulties of rising to fame but ultimately having a great time all the same (e.g Roll With It), Be Here Now covers the time in which you feel you can do no wrong and enjoying the camaraderie of being the biggest band on the planet (e.g D’You Know What I Mean, My Big Mouth) then SOTSOG is of the comedown and the results of too much camaraderie and drugs and alcohol, and trying to pick up from where you left off (e.g Who Feels Love, Sunday Morning Call, Roll It Over etc.). Perhaps it’s just my opinion. Great fourth album all the same.

I do like the concert but it's not really one of my favourites. I didn't watch it last night as I never do when it's on TV as I already have it from before.

It may not be Liam or the bands best gig but I don’t think I ever saw them have as much fun. The sound is great, it’s brilliantly shot and has a banging crowd.
