Oh, and also, I think it is actually pretty accurate when people say that Noel was the soul and Liam the heart of Oasis because Noel produced the songs mentally but Liam brought them to life with his voice and his passion for the band.

I've always said Noel was the brain of Oasis and Liam was the face and voice of Oasis. Oasis would't have been there without one or another. Both brothers made it together and broke it together.

The Some Might Say demo (from the Japanese single) is brilliant. Love the laid back vibe!

If this is what we get... I'm OK with that. Though the guy in Liam's band could work on his vocals a bit These two video's show exactly why they need to reform. Liam's sounds great, but his band sounds so thin, like a bad tribute band. And, like you said, Liam needs some good backing vocals. Noel's SCYHO sounds good, but the vocals are bad, and the vocal harmony doesn't work with Jessica. It sounds if they are both singing a different song, in a different tempo, in a different key.
IMO seriously unlikely at this point. I'm def good with that Noel version. Love that tune. Uh Liam, your turn

Saw 'Oaysis' the other night. Great setlist and the music was amazing.
Bit cringe that the singer came on in a bucket hat, and 'Noel' only sung 2 songs but good night nonetheless

Never mind the bollocks, here’s the Sex BeatlesAn archival tribute to Oasis, 25 years on from the release of their groundbreaking debut album, Definitely Maybe. [Liam] “I fucking loved the headline: ‘Never mind the bollocks, here’s the Sex Beatles.’ And that was a top picture, man, I love it. It was obviously done in London because they put make-up on me – the first time I’d had that, a stylist and all that tackle. And they put a kaftan on me. Decent haircut. It was sexy, dare I say it. There, I said it, so fuck it.”

I will never not love this. Takes the songs into a whole different place.

I’m still a little obsessed with the Lowry influence in The Masterplan video. Does anyone know if there is any artwork etc kicking around? I’d really love a little storyboard or set of prints.

Forgot how good Scorpio Rising is. ❤ Imagine if Liam brought that one out on the next tour. I'm picturing lots of 16 year olds in bucket hats scratching their heads. I was the only one singing D'yer wanna Be Spaceman around me at Finsbury and someone asked me how i know all the words to a "random solo song" Sigh

I saw a few copies of the new silver LP Definitely Maybe in my local record shop. I didn’t buy it (or the picture disc one online) because I already have the original Creation one and the CTS 2014 pressing, so I don’t need another to sit on a shelf and not be enjoyed. Felt a bit weird not buying it though.
That said, those DM coasters are very tempting...

This a very random thought on a Tuesday afternoon: 'Líam' is the nickname for 'William'. I didn't realize that for years. 'Líam' wasn't a popular name in the U.S. until recently; I think 'Líam' may be one of the more popular American baby names now, I don't know, I don't have kids, I hate kids....
Anyway, the normal nickname for William in the U.S. is 'Bill', so if Líam was American he would probably go by Bill Gallagher....doesn't have the same panache.
God bless.

So is Liam's real name actually William? Like on his birth certificate? He doesn't look like a William.

Listening to Listen Up from Liam's TRSMT festival last year as I type and I remember Noel's gig back in 2016. Listening to the same song him singing at front of me brought tears in my eyes and I feel same with Liam singing this song.
I wasn't keen Liam singing many Oasis songs at his gigs first, but now I see it in a different way. I was one of those who witnessed Oasis gigs when they were together, but why can't those younger fans who were not even born when Oasis started, enjoy Oasis songs as much as we, "oldies" do? I hate those copycats, but there are many who aren't.
Good music keeps alive generation after generation. I'm not living in past, but my past and my present makes my future. I'm just happy that both Noel and Liam are doing what they ever started, even on their own. Production, album chart and all that don't bother me.

We've now had four albums from Liam and three from Noel. Just put them all into a Spotify playlist and put it on shuffle. I know there's plenty on here that don't like everything done by them both, but I've always found both Noel and Liam very easy listening. So even if I'm not massively keen on a track, in a massive playlist on shuffle it just flows nicely from one track to the next.
They've both made some great music since Oasis split. I never got to see them, and as much as I'd love them to reunite I'm happy with the music they are putting out currently. Would like to see them reunite just to see them as brothers again. That's more important than a tour for me. That being said if they did tour I'd be buzzing.
