My impossible Oasis' dreams:
- A very very acoustic (Nebraska's Springsteen-ish) album for Noel. - An electronic album for Liam
and
- A Reunion World Tour with an EP with new Oasis songs.
Amen.

Did Oasis even really need to replace Bonehead and Guigs in 1999? Noel could have continued to pump out studio material. Shit he played most of the bass anyways it seems behind the scenes. Not a bad drummer so they say. Could hire any two yahoos to stand on stage for a tour.

Yes please to all that! Got to say, your signature is awesome. When I think of them as a group, it’s hard to imagine them all together at the age they are now, so it’s weird looking at it. That’s the closest you’ll ever see to visioning a proper Oasis reunion and seeing the original gang back together! Some purists prefer McCarroll but I’ll stick with White - in an ideal world if they were to reunite, that’s the Oasis I’d want to see right there and nobody else.

But but they are better musicians......”

Ah thank you pal, really appreciate that, and I wholeheartedly agree with you! We might need to recast Guigs for the reunion. Can't we just get a hologram of Guigs in a duffle coat circa 1995 like Tupac?

Not a bad drummer so they say. Could hire any two yahoos to stand on stage for a tour. That's an interesting thought. I think they could've pulled it off and it would've meant that Noel had full creative freedom of the band and been able to keep better content control to push the sound forward, with Liam doing vocals and his occasional tunes. Strangeboy as a guitarist and then some session musicians on bass and drums would've done the trick, with Spike Stent as a producer. Man I want this alternative history instead...

Not a bad drummer so they say. He's underrated on the bass IMO but the Oasis demos and Tailgunner record where he's 'featured' on the drums seem pretty sloppy / simplistic, like he only has the most basic beats down. He always maintained Tony had go when he did because he wasn't up to playing the drum part he wrote on DLBIA etc, Noel might have devised the drum roll but he definitely couldn't play it himself either. On the other hand there's this evidence of Noel's drumming prowess '-)

On the other hand there's this evidence of Noel's drumming prowess '-) Noel is a good enough drummer, but i agree, to drum on a record is another level. the Tailgunner record did not need complicated drums anyway, since the songs are basic at best (but i enjoy that record anyway). Noel could easily do it alone, but there's better bass and drum players around, so why not use them. To answer the original question, Noel could have done it all alone without Gem & Andy, since his sound guy at the time was / is a very gifted multi-insutrmentalist (the brother of the NGHF 1 drummer). Never understood why he did not join Oasis as a member.

Do we think there’s going to be reissues of the post be here now albums with demos/b-sides? I know they’re not as popular and some are weaker albums that Noel doesn’t like, but I’d imagine people would buy them still

Hearing anything from the DIV sessions of 2004 would be nice for DBTT. Overall I think I’d rather the band do some sort of anthology/rarities collection. We know they have the goods. For a small example...... Coming On Strong Lock All The Doors I Am The Walrus (studio) The Red The White And The Blue Sad Song (Liam vox) Don’t Look Back In Anger (Liam vox) And I’ve barely scratched the surface of material that could see the light of day.

Step Out (Liam) Sad Song (Liam)
and its fucking wrong not to have one single live or demo version of Bring It On Down on the standard version of the remaster.

I must say that I'm quite enjoying both - This Is The Place and One of Us. Both songs have a Hacienda vibe on their each own. Love them!
It's great even after 10 years Oasis called a day, we can still enjoy music by Gallaghers. Oasis will always be one of my 3 life time bands. No matter how Noel and Liam will be succeed with their solo careers, they'll never beat Oasis (at least to me).
I'm not living in past. I love challenge and always try to step forward even it's not easy sometimes. Oasis were/are/will always be my part of past, present and future.

I must say that I'm quite enjoying both - This Is The Place and One of Us. Agree. Two energetic, colourful tracks that have raised my hype up for what both brothers are doing. Obviously if you compare it to their generation-defining 90's material you'll have to mark both tracks down, but I'm happy with what we're getting from both brothers a quarter of a century after Definitely Maybe.

Noel loves Liam so much that he is releasing shit songs just because he doesn't want to outshine him.

22 years ago I was standing outside my local record store waiting the release of BHN.
Those were big days for an Oasis fan. ^^
