The entire orchestral outro to Whatever might just be one of Oasis' finest moments. Brilliance.

I think it was mine as well, along with DLBIA. It's an easygoing and well-written song that has a good place on WTSMG. I hate that it went so long, but as someone proficient in working with Audacity, making changes to the song, to where the guitar solo goes right into the final run of the chorus, makes it much better and really gives it its due respect. I'd very much be interested in hearing an alternative version...any possible way I can get this? I will upload it Soundcloud and send it to you in the next couple days. It's a fan edit that I did.

So annoying that many of the songs on the b-side Spotify playlist aren't available in my country. Why?!

Yesterday, Wonderwall turned 23 years old.
Released on October 30th, 1995 it has sold 1.34 million copies in the UK as of October 2016, making it Oasis' biggest selling song in their homeland.
In March 2016, Wonderwall was voted the greatest British song of all time by Radio X listeners.

Got Roger Daltrey's autobiography today and of course had to look if he had anything to say about our Gallaghers. (Is that one for "you know you're an Oasis fan" ... when you do that with all books that could have something about them?)
"You know who your friends are when you're down. Paul [McKenna] was there for me. So was Eric, Noel Gallagher, Paul Weller, and Kelly Jones." p. 226
"I remember Liam Gallagher came backstage to say hello afterward. I love Liam. He's one of the last few bastions of old-school rock. He'd be the last one in the trenches with you, always and he'd carry you out. That night, in that boiling heat, he was still wearing his parka. Ridiculous - but it was great to see him." p. 237

The half hour from Noel, Gem, Weller and the totally out of his depth Welshman was brilliant, but the fucking noise when Noel announced they had a guest - "I was gonna get my other brother Paul to do it, but he wasn't available" - and Liam comes swaggering on, sings Songbird, and he's gone again to another massive roar within 90 seconds. I've never seen the effect Liam has on people so clearly. We had "restricted view" seats, which meant our view of the stage was pretty crap but we could see into the backstage area. Liam was hanging around all night and there was a beautiful moment where Ashcroft kept fucking up the piano on Come On People and starting over, so Liam wandered out onto the stage, hugged him, clapped along and turned the pages on his music book for him while he finally got it right. It was so great. Whole thing felt like a great night. Fun all round and all to raise a load of money for TCT.

That one was when The Who played in Paris 2015 and the one about Noel was when Roger Daltrey fell into depression after John Entwistle's death in 2002.

I think Force of Nature is one of Noel's worst ever songs he has ever written. And I therefore believe Force of Nature is perhaps the worst on the entire Heathen Chemistry album. It is with this in mind why I have never sought out a live performance of FON until just now. Maybe a wee bit better than the album version -definitely feels fresher. I do like the plodding drums. Still mugging off the crowd by having this in the setlist, Noel.

Watching MADE OF STONE, seeing the scenes of the Stone Roses in a room together rehearsing the songs again is amazing. I hope one day we'll see the same with Oasis...

It's been debated many times on here before but who would you like to see in that room as Oasis aside from Liam and Noel? Obviously the Roses was always going to be Ian, John, Mani and Reni but there's a options for an Oasis reunion...

Alternative Be Here Now
1. D'you know what I mean? 2. My Big Mouth 3. The Fame 4. Stand By Me 5. (I got) the fever 6. Be Here Now 7. Don't Go Away 8. I Hope I think I know 9. All Around the World 10. Stay Young 11. All Around the World Reprise
Released: Summer 1998
1st Single: D'you know what I mean? 2nd Single: Stand By Me 3rd Single: Stay Young 4th Single: Don't Go Away
Shorten the length of certain songs, improving production but still loud and in your face. A bit more of an euphoric album I think.

That summer was dominated by Boy bands and Girly acts. It would have been dreadful. I regularly listen to a playlist that has the 2016 Rethink to start and cuts out Fade In/Out and The Girl In The Dirty Shirt...this configuration cuts nearly 15 minutes off the run time and is an absolute joy to listen to every time.

Just occurred to me it's 12 years to the day When Noel performed STC Koko. What a night. When I got a ticket to this and flew across the pond, I thought it was to be a one off. Not the best performance. Terry Kirkbride was in fact terrible that night, and the band seemed unrehearsed. Of course it didn't matter when I was there. Arm in arm with two unknown blokes, singing at the top of our lungs. Kelly Osborne DJ, while people yelled show us your tits lol. Much better performances at Paris and later shows. Not my video, but of course downloaded everything I could afterwards. Not much on YT now, and some of the ones there I nicked, have no sound anymore So I upped this. Cheers to the taper

I was ok with Be Here Now the first time around. Apart from the queues at the shops which the Brits had to endure...still that gave the wider world a first glimpse of Pete Doherty

I think Columbia is in some ways Tonys attempt to sound like Reni and he does it well. Can't really remember if he said something about this in his book.

D'You Know What I Mean? (2016 Rethink) is still stellar revisionist history.

I'd want Tony on drums but I then again he wouldn't be able to play lots of the songs that I'd want to hear. Sharrock would be cool but it would be weird. I guess it would have to be Whitey at the end of the day.

I guess it would have to be Whitey at the end of the day. I like the idea, although as I see it at the moment only Bonehead from the 1991-1999 era lineups would probably be up for it given Guigs retreat from the limelight including all things Oasis and Whitey's acrimonious departure from the band. That being said I saw the Roses at Reading 1996 and wouldn't have put money on a successful reunion of the classic lineup or a subsequent round of stadium tours, so with enough time passed and (probably) equally important money on the table you may yet see that footage

Liam, Noel, Bonehead, Gem and Chris is the most realistic.
Gem can do bass fuck it!
