Just like Jay Mehler I ain’t no guitar expert, but to me this outro is mastery. Fucking amazing, Noel’s best ever moment. How can anyone slag off the Be Here Now era when it produced such coked up brilliance like this is beyond me

Hey asimarx awesome work. What's the source on 'Strawberry Satellite'? Don't think I've heard that one before. I assume it's a rumoured title? For those wondering about 'All Around the World' and 'The Red, White and Blue' here's the source: Melody Maker - 10th June 1995 Hey The Crimson Rambler, sorry for the late reply, it's been a busy week. Anyway, here's more info on 'Strawberry Satellite': live4ever.proboards.com/thread/27748/strawberry-satellite-unreleased-noel-lyricsThe reason I assigned it to the Morning Glory era is because IF Noel did indeed scribble down that lyrical draft while staying in the Milwaukee hotel mentioned on the paper sheet, the lyrics must have been written down approximately on the 25th March 1995 (or perhaps a bit later), since Oasis played their only ever Milwaukee gig on the aforementioned date. Strange story, anyway.

Strange story, anyway. Amazing. Wasn't expecting a set of lyrics. Absolutely no doubt it was written by Noel. 100% agree with your logic. The Casa Del Mar paper is a nice companion piece. Apparently it's an American idiom that I'm guessing Noel probably saw or overheard whilst in the US and wrote down as a good phrase to use in a song and then later broke up and wove it into 'Strawberry Satellite'. Casa Del Mar is a hotel in Santa Monica, Los Angeles. The bands presence here can be dated to relatively shortly before their stay in Milwaukee in late January/early February 1995.
Let's also not forget the songs listed in Noel's 1994 notebook: - Feeling Like I Think... - Rainy Summertime - On 'n' On - Starchild - Callin' All

Listened to LAMB for the first time in ages, hit me quite hard tbh I know Noely wrote the song about Bonehead and Guigs leaving the band, but it’s like he knew the fate that would befall him and Liam eventually 💔 Liams best vocal. How that song isnt on SOTSOG is crazy.

I love DM so much. It's perfect.
“in the morning we don't know what to do!”
And when Married With Children starts playing you begin to realise something great has ended. You're just listening to that song feeling a bit down, but not necessarily in a bad way, and there's a weird sense of nostalgia growing inside you.

One of the things I never foresaw was the divisions in the fanbase......I pride myself in forward thinking, but, the fracture in fanbase fascinates me.....probably because Oasis hasn't been relevant to music for 20 years, and I'm not 12 years old....
Truly fascinating and funny.....
Oh, I forgot, the U.K. Is the nexxus of the universe.....
Thanks.

Which means that it can now buy alcohol in the US, although I suspect it has done some illegal consumption of both that and some harder drugs before...

I just realised She's Electric solo is really fun to play on guitar and that's always a good sign Never really paid lots of attention to it before.

Bonehead and Guigsy left Oasis in August 1999... The Verve split in August 1999.
Why did Noel not try to recruit Nick McCabe as second guitarist? Imagine that!

Can't believe it's been nearly ten years since Dig out your Soul came out. I remember playing five a side football with my mates the day before the album was released and talking about what the album would be like.

Oasis with McCabe and Andy Bell; new musical direction as a shoegaze/psychedelia band Seriously though there's no way he would've enjoyed playing Oasis songs. The worst possible fit for him. He said that "normal" guitar is boring for him and he's always trying to find ways to sound like something totally different.

What’s the point of (Get Off Your) High Horse Lady? Maybe Noel should get off his high horse? I don’t need to?
