If Noel decides to release an new Oasis compilation or live recording, what would you like it to be? Could Noel make decisions like that on his own? Wouldn't he need a permission from the other members? Just wondering how it works. Tagging Flashbax as well. Big Brother Recordings Ltd is owned by Liam and Noel at 40% each with the remainder of the shares held by the management, which I have written before I presume is at least in part for tax purposes as 20% is also the fee for their services taken from Oasis based income. This means technically that it would only need the brothers to agree on a new release provided it is Big Brother that either owns the original recordings or licenses the masters from the owner, e.g. Sony Music, with royalties paid at whatever formula rates had been agreed to former members if they were entitled to them. The publishing royalties which are for the actual song rather than for a particular recording would be paid to the individual writer/s in line with their publishing arrangements, which differ for each person. If you are talking something from the classic nineties era such as a Knebworth set for example then obviously Noel would be the main beneficiary in this regard as he was the credited songwriter for almost all of the material from that period.

I just found out the other week there's an ice cream parlour called Oasis two blocks from where I live, might go see what it's about tbh. Gotta say though, if Be Here Now isn't blasting through the speakers as I walk in I'll be disappointed

Does anybody know whatever happened to Louise Jones? She worked at Red Alert PR when she was with Noel Gallagher, which was the plugging company responsible for trying to get Oasis onto regional radio and TV- incidentally the company was run by Terry Christian's girlfriend who had already had Noel pester him to get them 'The Word' TV show on nights out in Manchester, which Terry eventually did for their TV debut on 18th March 1994 introduced by Mark Lamarr Guardian- Terry Christian 22nd Feb 2004I've read snippets that she is still in the media business over the years but only one Louise Jones on LinkedIn that I could see fits the locations/roles for those dates but there is no mention of Red Alert on her public CV, so I cannot say for certain that she did.

Doing a 90's Oasis grand slam today. All the album tracks, the demos, the live versions, etc. I haven't listened properly to some Oasis for too long

I think the reason why The Turning, Bag It Up, Waiting For The Rapture and Shock of the Lightning sound so good is that Noel didn't use standard tuning in them.
First 3 are drop-D and TSOTL is capo + b-string tuned to A(?).

Going Nowhere is such a good song.
Vintage Noel in every way. I’d do anything to hear Noel play this live with a full orchestra - I have no idea as to why he has never done so.
That short guitar interlude after the second time he does the chorus is stunning. I get The Stone Roses’ Where Angels Play.

So, listened to 90's Oasis all day. The album tracks, b-sides, some live and demo versions, and even the Boardwalk demos. What an untouchable band from 1994 to 1997, there's almost nothing to throw out, great melodies after great melodies, an unique gorgeous sound, and the greatest singer of the decade. By the way, I can understand why Colour My Life and See The Sun never became b-sides, there's a quite a gap in quality between those tracks and just songs like Alive and I Will Believe. With all of that, I could do a new ranking on the Superranker thread, but can't be arsed right now

Rule #3, in the "Oasis rules" book. Just before rule #4: "You're not a true Oasis fan if you listen to Taylor Swift".

Champagne Supernova is not in my top 10 and I mostly don't like guitar wank lol but the Knebworth version with John Squire is massive, holy shit. This 2nd night is probably better from John I dunno... I used to think that performance is great but now it just sounds like coked up guitar wank without any proper idea :/
