They do a lavish promotion in Japan! It seems to be written in English: anything interesting in this programme or nothing that we don't already know?

They should have ended like theyknowwhatimean said: with the D'You Know What I Mean? video in the outro.

They should have ended like theyknowwhatimean said: with the D'You Know What I Mean? video in the outro. I don't think that anymore. Maybe when Noel says, "We should've disappeared into a puff of smoke. But, you know, it was my idea to keep going... But that's what shit-kickers do, they ride it till the wheels come off", it would've been pretty cool to cut to a shot of the DYKWIM? video where, like, CGI helicopters are circling Liam's craning silhouette while someone sets a flare off and someone else is running for some reason (and whatever the hell else happens in the vid); but really, I think they pretty much nailed it doing what they did In particular, the final shots (during Noel's "what oasis was" closing monologue), where the band have vacated the stage and it's just the fans left--a group of them still singing the tunes together, a young couple standing separate from the rest, eating one another's faces--were a nice touch. Made all the more so by having The Masterplan play in the background - just the strings at first and then the rest of the track for when end credits roll. Not a bad way to play your audience out...

He went to see the doc. for the first time yesterday and bought me it. I'll post if there's something we don't know yet in it once I received it.

Such a lame excuse to include FITB. Its so shit how there's been this need for Noel to try and rewrite Oasis history since the split. This documentary goes even further into doing that for the future generations to come. Like its been posted above, its ridiculous to write off the 13 years after the film as if it was nothing. Maybe we'll get parts 2 & 3, who knows. Agree it should of shown more, but even if they really just wanted to focus on this part, I can't understand why they imply after this they literally failed and went downhill. They say something along the lines of 'that's the negatives of the quick big success' can't remember the wording exactly but again, what was bad about it? They were on top of the world. I think that is a poor excuse for the band too. A break of a couple of years was a good idea while Morning Glory was still selling as much as it was. But to suggest the reason they "failed" is because they were some little band who didnt know how to handle it is ridiculous. As much as i love supersonic, it went over a hell of alot of things most relitively big oasis fans already know. Amsterdam, the father relationship etc. The end of Oasis would definetely have made for the most interesting and compelling part of the documentary.

Mat Whitecross has done a great job. This documentary was meant to tell the story about how they became one of the biggest bands in the modern music history from nothing in just 3 years time and with Knebworth with The Masterplan in background was a perfect ending scene to me.

I watched the documentary recently for the first time since in the cinemas in October. Wow what a gift it is. I find myself agreeing with everything above in that the band did themselves a disservice by putting themselves down at the end; ok they never reached the heights of Knebworth again but they still broke records, did huge successful tours and sold millions of albums. It's a big shame that we don't get a part 2, 3 etc. I just really hope we get all the extra footage that has been talked about, probably been filed under 'sell back to the fans in 10 years' for now.

Reviving this thread just to let you know that Supersonic is already available on Netflix here in Chile. It may be available in other countries too. Just saying.

Apologies if it's been discussed before.. But anyone that has the HMV version of Supersonic, is it worth buying over the standard one?

"Supersonic" was screened in Japan last Christmas and my cousin over there bought me this pamphlet and finally it arrived yesterday. Nothing new what we don't know yet is mentioned, but a nice item to own. Can you read Japanese?

Anyone know where I can find a high quality version of those knebworth photos? Or even just a scan of this booklet?
