For some reason, I'd always thought Italy as well but the way a lot of Italian members talk on here, perhaps that isn't the case.

Japan, easy. And they get all the bonus tracks too. I hope they're grateful.

Oasis were big in Korea too. If I remember correctly the 00's albums sold much better in both Japan and Korea than did the holy trinity of DM, MG, and BHN!!

Japan, by far.
There's such a big following that it carried over to Noel's solo stuff, since If I Had a Gun... ended up charting higher than any Oasis single, or any of his solo stuff. It went to #2 on their Hot 100 chart, in fact!

Because it would be cheaper to import from other countries than buy them straight from Japan. If they get bonus tracks they are more likely to buy them from Japan.

Well not everybody knows them, especially if we're talking about people who are my age,but they've got a solid fanbase made of both older fans and guys who are between the age of 18 and 25 Noel especially seems to have done fairly well with HFB here, good charting, sold out gigs,Mighty I getting a lot of airplay etc.

I think japanese people in general are/had been excited about bands from western europe. This especially goes for pre-internet-times. Its obvious for me that an english band is more exciting for people from japan than for people from - lets say - france or germany who have been to england themselves. Most people are more interested in "exotic" stuff than things they do already know. If you go to a party everyone wants the foreign girl not the one from next door ;-)

Everybody knows who the Gallaghers are here in Italy, maybe not the teenagers but whatever.
On the other hand they played arenas, but in general small gigs. Alcatraz in 2005, a venue where both Noel and Beady Eye played. Never San Siro, never Olimpico while other bands like Muse play in front of +40k constantly in Italy.
I voted for Argentina, but I also agree with Japan
