Guitar strings deteriorate overtime so the sound is not as good. If he was going to play it again he would replace the string. Some guitarists such as the Edge from U2 change the strings on his guitars for every gig. thanks! edge sounds kinda crazy with all that changing and tuning lol
that said, noel needs to bring back that union jack and play it, a replica version or whatever. his guitars are pretty but that union jack really just screams coolness
It's kinda excessive, but at that level they need to be consistent. A hobbyist could spend months without changing strings, but you notice them getting duller over time.

Sound is more important than looks. He'll mostly be playing the red 355 and a Les Paul I'd bet
