I didn't get to watch the match, but it's sad to see O'Sullivan knocked out of the World Championships. Ding's a great player, though, so I'm sure it's a well deserved victory. Ding played amazingly - from the ninth frame onwards he was utterly relentless. Ronnie actually played well, but never quite found his A-game over more than one or two frames.
I can honestly see anyone winning at this point...obviously Selby is the favourite, but I think they all have a great shot. I'd like to see Ding win, playing the kind of snooker he did against Ronnie.

I remember him beating Steve Davis in the 2005 UK Championship at the age of 17 - looked set to be the new sensation. I'd love to see him deliver on that promise after all these years.

I have an irrational dislike of Mark Selby I struggle to watch him. Gutted Ronnie is out but I like Ding and he played well, would be happy to see him win it, a Ding/Higgins final would be my choice.
I'm not sure Ronnie will win another Worlds I think time is perhaps starting to tell but I think he is more than capable of producing magic in the shorter formats. He is still the most unbelievable player I've ever seen, he's up there with Federer, Woods, Messi for me.

I hope Ronnie wins another one - the 2014 final was excruciating to watch. I'll be raging if Selby beats Ding. Can't stand watching him play either.

That was the greatest session of snooker I've ever seen. Fucking incredible. Unreal - this is the best semi-final I've ever seen. Despite me wanting Ding to win, you have to give it to both players. Unbelievable high quality.

Gutted for Ding. Really wanted him to win the Championship.

Gutted for Ding. Really wanted him to win the Championship. I only had the chance to catch snippets of the match but from all accounts it was a classic. Such a shame for Ding. I hope Higgins finds a way against Selby in the final. I didn't used to mind him but his success is giving him an air of arrogance.

Couple good pool movies: 'The Hustler' and 'The Color of Money' both starring Paul Newman and Tom Cruise in 'The Color of Money'....
God bless.

God I hope Higgins wins this! Is anyone yet to discover why he is the 'Jester' from Leicester? Its ironic right?

Really disappointing from Selby there, not finding his a-game at all. Hoping the epic against Ding hasn't taken it out of him too much and he finds the energy to defend his crown.

Ach, fair play to Selby. Given his opponents form, he wasn't going to meet much tougher opponents than that semi final and final in reality.

Thought Higgins was going to come back there when he brought it back to 16-15.

Just watched O’Sullivan score his 1000th century in the final gram of winning the players championship today. He’s been great all day and really is a joy to watch. Snooker will miss him when he’s gone.
