It certainly doesn't help when the people who run the game continually talk our game down. I about threw the radio out the window the other night when I heard Doncaster slavering over The Rangers winning promotion: "in the better interests of the game to celebrate what will be a stronger commercially focused top flight with Rangers back in it". He said: "So much of the tumultuous times needs to be put behind everyone. "We need to look forward and to work together for the benefit of the game overall."Basically what he is saying there is that since Rangers (RIP) went bust him and the rest of his colleagues have not bothered their arses to try and make our game better because he didn't think there was any point with no team called Rangers in the league. But now that there is a new team called The Rangers in the top league they can start doing their job again. Since Rangers went bust Aberdeen, United and Hearts attendances are all up by between 10 and 35%. Aberdeen won the League Cup (their first trophy in 20 years). ICT, Ross County (only in the senior leagues for 21 years) and St Johnstone have all won their first ever major trophy. And yet Doncaster and his colleagues are saying that all this has been a bad thing and "tumultuous". Look at the English Premier League this season, they are absolutely loving that fact that the likes of Spurs and Leicester are actually challenging for the title. What do we do here in Scotland? We don't even merely discount Aberdeen's title challenge, we basically say "it doesn't matter who wins the league if The Rangers aren't there". The focus is only ever on the money - which is hilarious considering the SFA waste every penny. Since Celtic and Rangers are the most marketable, then they are all that matter. Yet what benefits have they brought to Scottish football in recent years? As far as the SFA is concerned, the rest of the clubs are cannon fodder that can be easily disposed of.

And the ironic thing is, Celtic and the new club, The Rangers, would ditch the SFA in a heartbeat if they got their wish to play in England (lol); yet the SPFL and SFA do everything to pander to their needs and can't see past either of them. Speaking of wasting money, the SFA's latest brainwave is a belter - relaying the pitch at Hampden (again), 4 days before a Scottish Cup semi. It will cut up to fuck and will be fucked for their wankfest of hatred on Sunday.

Yeah I saw that on the news last night, cameras weren't allowed to take shots of the pitch being ripped up as it was too embarrassing for the SFA. So incompetent it's pathetic.

m.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/36025815That's right Walter, the reason we are about to be relegated is because Rangers, The Rangers, Sevco or whatever the fuck they are called these days, have not been in the top league for the last 4 years. Nothing to do with selling all our best players and Jackie replacing them with a bunch of utter diddies. Deary me, what planet are these people on?

Talk about nerves - Hibs and Dundee Utd both look terrified of losing the ball

On the train on the way home from yet another terrible performance, Mixu appears to be clueless. Hibs are terrible too, what a crap game of football.

Changing the team at the last minute didn't help both sides. I'm not the DUFC coach, but can they bring in talent this off season? That was horrible from both sides.

Hibs looked like they'd grabbed some boy from a pub around Hampden and asked if he fancied a shot between the sticks today, carrying a fair amount of timber on him for a professional athlete haha. In fairness he was easily man of the match, one of the few players on the pitch who actually had a good game.
Watching that game is how I imagine watching our League Cup Final against Caley must've been, dire stuff. Cummings is a total wanker, very lucky that miss didn't come back to bite him in the arse. United should've scored at least three.

Can't deny it was a thrilling match - Deila most definitely will leave at the end of the season now. Do they plan on getting that uber-fud Lennon back in charge?

Ryan Giggs in frame for Celtic job? Hilarious - would love it to happen just to see it go tits up.
Shite caretaker and the players would probably not listen to a bloke who pumped his brother's wife anyway.

Most of the players have probably pumped their wives sister, mother, best friend.. etc anyway.

We'll be lucky to hold on to second at this rate, fucking embarrassing stuff. Players have totally given up and can't be arsed.
I would genuinely rather have Langfield than Scott Brown, never thought I'd say those words.

Cannae see it Matt, just can't see Giggs being interested in having anything to do with the Scottish game. Despite what Celtic and The Rangers tell you about them being supported world-wide byraway, outside of Scotland nobody gives a fuck.

Aye you're right, but I think Giggs is poor so if Celtic think he'd be the right man, it would be the indictment to show how unimportant they've become. The other realistic candidates are Keane who, though I like the guy, has a diabolical managerial record, some tax dodging tosser from Leeds Utd and Neil Lennon. A far out choice but a better manager would be Moyes but if he took it it would prove how far his career has fallen in the last few years as opposed to how 'big' Celtic are. Slim pickings - they're mostly all shite.

Shay Logan signed a new 2 year deal this morning, excellent news. Was certain he'd be off in the summer. We still have the best 2 full backs in the league

@wadfalkirk I see Danny Rogers made it as the keeper in the Championship TOTY, good enough to make the step up to Dons no.1 next season? God knows we could use a decent keeper, think losing Ward was a large part of our collapse second half of the season. Also notice Dundee have managed 3 players (one more than Celtic surprisingly) in the Premiership TOTY despite finishing bottom 6. Can't deny Hemmings and I suppose Bain probably has been the best keeper over the course of the season but really surprised at Greg Stewart getting this sudden love in (also nominated for player of the year).
