Arrest warrant for Lee McCulloch after failing to appear at court on a charge of speeding.
His behaviour on the football pitch doesn't lie - my brother witnessed terrible behaviour from him in a pub last year towards bar staff, and he is genuinely the biggest c*nt imaginable on the face of the earth.

So that's Celtic got the green light to introduce safe standing. I doubt many other clubs will be able to afford it just now but it's something to look into when new stadiums are being built I suppose.

I was hoping Ciftci would stay purely because of the entertainment value he has. You watch him at times and wonder how he's at Dundee United then he does something mental like throttling a linesman and you remember why. Him and Griffiths would be the most temperamental frontline in Scottish football.

It's a very sensitive subject understandably as many Hillsborough survivors and other fans involved in crushes are adamantly against it, but (and with all due respect to them) the game has come a long long way since those days of bad policing and dodgy stadiums - the real reasons behind such catastrophes. This is standing, but more important to realise is it is 'safe standing'.

www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/33028189Scottish season considering switch to summer football. I personally think it is an excellent idea. With one of the reasons being cited that 'it will save costs on electricity from winter floodlights', this shows how dire the finances of the clubs are. By switching to the summer, the pitches should be in better condition, so clubs won't have to be forking out on expensive relays or playing in mudbaths. Primarily, such atrocious weather affects the football, where teams are perhaps restricted by playing a pass and move game on the actual pitch as opposed to out of date 19th century ugly long ball tactics. So it can be a benefit to Scottish football overall. That's not to say bad weather doesn't exist in summer in Scotland - it obviously does, but the weather is still a massive improvement from the dire conditions we are used to in the winter.

I'm really torn on summer football. Yep in theory it would be great going to games in decent weather. BUT having the games to go to over the winter months is something Ii look forward too, especially over Xmas and New Year. Plus how shite would it be having the cup final in November when the chances are it will be bucketing it down or blowing a gale?

I'm pretty set against summer football to be honest. The reasons Globe mentioned are part of it but there's others as well. At the moment it's not really possible for it to work as we'd have to play mid-January to mid-December unless we added in loads of midweek dates. There's not anything to suggest it will bring increased crowds or better performances in Europe. More countries have moved away from it recently than towards it which says a lot. I don't think the pitch thing is quite as important as it was a few years ago with more and more teams moving towards plastic pitches and I guess that trend will continue in the near future.
I'm open to starting the season in July and having a few weeks break in Winter but I don't think summer football is feasible.

I'm all for safe standing. Although the name implies that current terraces in use are unsafe, which is untrue in the vast majority of cases. As for summer football, I'm not a huge fan of the idea. As globe said, a winter without football is a bleak winter indeed. We didn't have a single game called off last season, and with the growing number of top quality artificial surfaces in Scotland, the condition of the pitches is becoming less of a factor.

He may be a bit young, but I think it would be a wise decision for a Scottish club to sign him up as manager. I've heard rumours with Rangers, but it's a certainty he'd be better than the shower of shite that have been coaching them for the last few years. Can't get any worse to be fair.

Or preferably take him back to United - knows the club inside out after all and dunno what you think of this globe but maybe Jackie McNamara has taken them as far as possible perhaps?

Yep, been a lot of talk on United forums about giving him the managers job. I'd like to see him back at the club taking over the youth set-up again with a plan to take over the 1st team eventually. Jackie has lost a lot of the fans over the GMS and Armstrong saga, if he starts of next season poorly he'll be under pressure.

New Raith Rovers and Hibs strips: Both appear to be going for the retro look. The Raith one looks a bit dated but from what I can see of Hibs' it looks brilliant. A title winning strip if ever I saw one. I do think Hibs will win the league fairly comfortably this season.

We've signed Paul Quinn today, presumably as cover for defence replacing Ando. Shinnie also "officially" signed on Wednesday.
Del boy and Tony Doc also signed new deals to 2019, fantastic news, great week for the Dons.

Definite 4-6-0 coming up. I hope he doesn't sit back. Ireland were pretty poor back in November and didn't cause England too many problems last week either.

Doubt there will be more than a goal in it either way but the closer we get to the game the more I think we'll sneak a 1-0 win. Hopefully McGeady's as rattled as he was in the November game as he was all over the place that night.

Not convinced by that team at all, mainly down to Mulgrew at centre back and Ritchie playing though I can see why he's left Anya on the bench. Have to trust in Strachan though as he's not made many mistakes yet.
