Rangers did what they had to i.e. they took their chances. The two goals were very well worked, with a cracking finish for the second. Hibs were utterly toothless going forward, Allan trying far too many 'clever' passes that didn't come off. Malonga was useless and Cummings was anonymous, apart from his chance in the first half which he really should have scored.
It's pathetic bringing a giant sheet of paper to a football match just so you can tear it up and throw the scrunched up pieces at the players. The same goes for the fans who refused to throw the ball back into play.

are rangers going back to top flight footy already ?? No yet big man. Got the second leg between Rangers and Hibs on Saturday then the winner of that has a two leg game against Motherwell, who finished 2nd bottom of the Scottish Premiership. Don't know why the SPFL didn't introduce the playoffs in the same style as down south. 2nd bottom Premiership v 4th top Championship, home and away. 2nd in Championship v 3rd in Championship, home and away Winner v Winner, one off game at suitable stadium, Hampden if a crowd over 20k or elsewhere if under. Much more excitement.

I'd love it to go to penalties..and win! Motherwell would be a hard game for either team but Hibs deserve to go back up. In Stubbs we trust.

Losing your captain and player of the year to a team who finished below last season, the joys of part-time football eh?
Can't blame him though. Better wages, a 2 year deal and working with a manager he's played under before so it's a no brainer really.

Watched the Hibs game on BT Sport - Rangers were all over them from the start, and we were under the impression Hibs had become proper fitness gurus.
The horrible thing for them is they will be looking on with envy towards Hearts, who were in a much worse position off the field a year ago. Shows that a little bit of change and innovation at the top and bottom of the club can make all the difference.

New Killie strip: #Dece or #Boggin' ? No really a fan of striped shirts, but that's not too bad.

Bo'ness United vs Linlithgow Rose tomorrow.
Last time I was there, the Bo'ness casuals had all managed to sneak cans of Tennent's into the ground and made monkey noises at Joe Mbu every time he went near the ball.

Joe Mbu, there's a name I've not heard in a while! He was always pretty solid when I saw him at Cowdenbeath. I remember him being at East Fife last season but can't say I remember seeing him play. Didn't realise he'd dropped into the juniors.

Others might disagree but I'm not sure Stubbs has done that good a job at Hibs. I mean I'm not saying he should be sacked, far from it, but I'm not that convinced by him. Obviously they had a decent record against Hearts and Rangers but they finished some way off Hearts which I suppose is down to the slow start and that they only managed 3 wins out of 12 against Falkirk, QOS and Raith in the league. Add to that their cup semi final loss and losing against what is still a fairly poor Rangers team in the play-offs, I'd say Stubbs has done ok but nothing more.

What a day. Pumping the fun AGAIN and Hartley offered me a square go at full time. Fat, greasy gadgie.
One team in Dundee.

He looks more like a tramp everytime I see him. I think it's the hat. Was in the hospitality boxes behind the dug outs. At the end of the game we were battering on the glass trying to get his attention. He looks up and I start giving him a wee "wave". He then starts gesculating and mouthing "me and you down here". Needless to say I simply continued to wave at him whilst pissing myself laughing.

If they defend like that on Saturday then we can start planning the parade now. I don't know how much you can take from the game though due to the team changes. I was disappointed with the lack of red cards and injuries but I suppose you can't have everything. I also wanted to hear the abuse that Meekings took from ra Sellick fans, which would have been hilarious. Any idea of how many tickets you've sold?

No idea, but concessions for under 16s are available for £5 for both Falkirk and Caley fans Good prices, it should make for a great atmosphere.

Ian Murray as St Mirren manager?
I'm all for giving the guy a chance, but I saw him on Sportscene recently and I thought he was a bit lacking in the old wit.
