Hopefully, now that Oasis are no more, the sizeable gap they left behind so clearly yet to be filled, some six years later, and as, in their absence, we have seen the mainstream music "scene" (whatever form it takes these days), deteriorate and deteriorate in to the utter shambles it is today, we will see more and more people going "oh yeah, they were bloody good weren't they?" Oasis, with the sheer charisma of the Gallagher brothers, paired with the combine strength of Noel's songwriting, and Liam's vocal talents, are so far removed from the dross that we hear these days that they could almost be considered alternative in comparison. Obviously, they're not, but here's hoping Oasis will be finally be remembered for more that just a flash in the pan for a year or so in the Nineties. No matter the quality of the music they made at different points in their career (yes, I'm looking at you, Heathen Chemistry:-/), they were a hell of a lot more interesting than a lot of people would like to admit.
