I must be the only one who actually likes the na na nas! But I'm wondering how will it work live, probably he'll let the audience do it?

I'm like: Fuck, I hate this song. It's fucking awful *presses repeat 10 times in a row*
It's just so catchy. When I woke up it was immediately stuck in my head.

Can't stop whistling the chorus since I woke up this morning, and this rarely happens to me...
Sure, it's not the best song Noel has ever written, but it's so fuckin' catchy, it starts in the mood of AKA...WAL! and then it develops into something fresher... it really sounds like a song from 2014!
Well done Noel, I'm looking forward to the album even more now...

1. blur's "Charmless man" + "Force of Nature" + "Waiting For The Rapture" + AKAWAL = 'In the Heat of the Moment'
2.crap lyrics but definitely catchy when it comes to the chorus.
3. too safe, too samey, too mainstream, nothing really special about it. Dad pop for the middle aged listeners
4. of course i like it (its Noel...), definitely a radio hit, but its far away from the delicate sound of great Noel's songwriting.

I listened to it again this morning, and I must say despite absolutley loving it, that it needs more whistles and Oooh's ala I Am The Walrus.
That's all xxx

first impressions of the song for me are-
its ok, nothing spectacular but not rubbish. hopefully the song will grow on me more tho. when I first heard TDOYAM for the first time I thought it was just ok, but now I really like that song and think it was one of the best on his first album.
the na na nas don't bother me, I got used to them fairly quickly. I particularly like the bells at the start of the song that come in just after the na na nas. think they sound cool- could have listened to 3 minutes of that on its own haha!
I know fuck all about production but the song sounds well put together for me. and noels singing is really good. you cant blame him for going down the WAL vibe, after all it was his best selling single in ages.
after a few listens (about 10) I am happy enough with the song. it doesn't blow me away but isn't crap either. I can live with one or two pop songs on the album so long as that is all.
as others on here have already mentioned- I think noel is missing a trick by waiting so long to release the single. in this day and age he would have been best making it available straight away. by the time its released most people will already have it downloaded or have moved on and not bother at all. he should strike while the iron is hot!!
also he better hope the album doesn't leak. march is a long time when tunes are so easily uploaded online.

I quite like it.
3 years later from "Uhhhhh..." (AKA What A Life) to "Nanana...". I've already started to practice my sing along for next year March (kidding).

I think Noel thinks the same thing - he said The Ballad of the Mighty Eye was much better and that ITHOTM was a late addition. I imagine it was added for its obvious radio appeal, and there's nothing wrong with that.

200,000 Youtube views in 24 hours. He may as well do another stint at Knebworth based on this rate!

I know this single is probably merely meant to create hype for the album, as I said before, but ffs, this is such a wasted oppertunity. I'm becoming a bit annoyed about the fact it's only coming out somewhere in November.
