Pretty much a long shot here, but any linux users? For fun I installed Mint and ubuntu. Just wonder any other users are here?
I still have windows and programs are on windows not on linux or vise versa. Just tired of windows at times and tired of scans, threats and what not.
So far hardcore linux users like Mint more than ubuntu and I can see why, but ubuntu has an app store right there with all the apps even though 90% apps are free. Mint has more windows feel while ubuntu more a MAC OS feel.

I am both a linux user and windows user. I've used many distributions over the years and my favourites are Lubuntu, Linux Mint, Elementary OS and Arch Linux.
All of thems have their pros and cons. Lubuntu is the same with Ubuntu but with different Desktop Enviroment. It uses a more light resource and Windows-like DE than the Ubuntu one (Unity). Linux Mint with Cinnamon as DE is also a great choice. Elementary OS is probably the best Mac OSX-like distribution on Linux.
Arch Linux is in different category from the others. It's only for users that have more experience with the command line of Linux and it's far from user friendly distribution. The ability to built your own system from scratch is what makes it unique.

I like Mint with cinnamon, but applications center on ubuntu makes linux easier. I've used Red Hat, but that was like 7 years ago. Hardly remember it. Yes, so many distros out there. I haven't look at Lubuntu. I've grew up from the start with windows since 3.1 to Windows 7 I will try Elementary OS, because it does look good. Ubuntu does have Cario bar if users needed. I do think this thread a must have here, because everyone should have OS system fits them, but we all agree many software we're used to on windows are not on linux, but many are. It's easy to try many these OS anymore on USB key.Mainly used ubuntu. Just got Mint cinnamon installed
