I'm not a fan of any covers they've done. I don't really care for covers anyway.

Cum On Feel The Noize is better than the original. Never really liked I Am The Walrus original or otherwise so I never listen to that. My Generation was alright but I can take or leave it as a song. Street Fighting Man was good.

I agree, Cum on Feel the Noize and IATW are the only worthy released covers.
My Generation was really good live when Liam's voice was good. The Tokyo show from '02 on MTV is my favourite, Liam's voice was straining a tad but the energy was never better. Love the bass solo, Andy went so hard he broke a string on his bass.

This one better be a bloody good remaster, heaven knows Be Here Now needs it. Christ if only Noel laid off the coke and had his senses together and kept a b-side or two back from the WTSMG period that album could have been a classic. It needs for Noel to get his hands on it and edit it down, get rid of Magic Pie, Cut some songs down to size and get Stay young and Going Nowhere on the album (how the fuck did he leave those tunes off). I still love Be Here Now for all it's OTT Bombastic it's the last Oasis album I truly love. Most of the albums after that just never did it for me, still some great stuff on them but far too patchy. I never understand Noel's hate for the album maybe the fact he wasn't on the ball for it hurts the most. I would have loved to see how this album would have turned out with a sober Noel at the helm. I love a documentary on the making of the album with interviews with the band now and other hangers on, it make a good warning for bands today at what not to do plus having Noel wince at every moment would be funny as hell. A bit like Definitely Maybe Doc they did a few years ago but with added drugs and sheer Spinal Tap behaviour. Plus add that BBC documentary they released before the release of the album in 1997 called Right Here, Right Now. Great live disc should be gathered together and the B-sides plus some demos. I agree with you mostly there... Stay young and going nowhere could have been put on there instead of say, I Hope I think I Know and Girl in the dirty shirt. My two favourite b-sides from the sessions. I actually find magic pie one of the most interesting tunes on the album... You'd just need to cut the 3 and a half minute fucking outro Edit all around the world down to 6 minutes max and you have an album that can stand proud next to the first two

Stay Young is very similar to IH, IT, IK but it should of been on there instead of All Around The World (Reprise) which should've been just put on the All Around The World single.

Going Nowhere should have been in place of Magic Pie, MP is horredous, at that year he even claimed that it was one of the bes songs he ever wrote, just to see how out of his head he was at the time.

I actually really like Magic Pie. It was really different for them at the time. I even quoted it as my high school yearbook quote (Class of 2000). Barring the chorus, the lyrics in Magic Pie aren't bad at all IMO.

The thing about Magic Pie is that it had an amazing intro and first verse, and the part where the mellotron came in was EPIC! However, when the chorus, came, it felt so lazy and tired, and it ruined the song. Flashbax is way better IMO.

Noel's cover of To Be Someone is amazing. There's a lot of feeling in his interpretation and I prefer it to the original, even as a big Jam fan. Some people were very lucky to hear this live on the BHN tour.

It's the chorus that lets Magic Pie down. I actually prefer BHN to WTSMG but in terms of what's better, it's the little things like that and the annoying outros that hold the album back. A proper HQ version of G-Mex gig would be great, always though that was an under-rated performance.

please a be here now naked edition! I listened to "it's getting better man" yesterday and when the guitar solo nearly the end came in, I was just thinking, that its tooo fucking much! you can't listen to the solo. I know this can be charming but for me in this case it was really exhausting^^

A wise man once said: true perfection has to be imperfect. I think that was just Noel being cheeky, because that line makes fuck-all sense.

I wonder if we will be getting versions of I Got the Fever and The Fame with clean outros, and versions of My Sister Lover and Flashbax with clean intros. I don't really like I Got the Fever, and it always annoys me that you can hear the riff of I Got the Fever at the beginning of My Sister Lover. EDIT: I remember when I first popped the Stand by Me single into my CD player, I heard the first few seconds of I Got the Fever and didn't like it, so I skipped to the next track, and I heard the exact same riff! Gave me quite a fright. For a second there, I thought that Oasis was becoming so cheap that they were including the same song twice on their singles.
