Noel's AATW early demo is pretty amazing, he's got a youngster voice that seem to say "yeah i've written the best fuckin song since Hey Jude" he's even singing the strings part ahaha and he was still arsed enough to play barré chords up and down his guitar instead of using a capo. i like his early guitar playing way better. it's sounds so much more powerfull.

If you want the Japanese bonus track just get it from the Oasis Collectors group on Facebook. I posted it there.

It would have to be a direct sample for The Stones to block it, not just a drum pattern that sounds similar. Is that the case? I'm on the move so can't compare properly. It's the same. If they sampled the stones without permission and that's the reason the track got pulled, frankly it is piss poor. The Chasing The Sun project was started years ago - they've had ample time to clear this. Ridiculous.

Well, 'Heroes' and 'Street Fighting Man' aren't on the re-issue mate - it may well just be that they were demanding too much money. It's the only half-valid reason I can think of. We won't get clarification though. And especially not today, for everybody thinking we will. It's not even out yet in most parts of the world!

What's the difference between All Around The World MUSTIQUE DEMO and All Around the World JAPAN BONUS DEMO?
I just found the Japan Bonus track - haven't listened yet. But why are there two demos for this song? (And why do the fucking Japanese always get the bonus shite?)

I'm very confident that the Don't Go Away demo on Disc 2 (which is amazing btw) - was recorded at the Morning Glory sessions (the first time Noel ever played the song anywhere). Initially, I thought teh Japan AATW may be from then as well, but listening to it it sounds a bit earlier - not definitely pre-DM, but definitely pre-MG. If We Shadows - I think is ace. Untitled may have to grow on me. Looking forward to the 'instrumental' tomorrow now as well Can't get over how top the Mustique's are though.

Haha. Right, little treat for everybody who has seen Supersonic! (spoilers so don't read on if you don't want to know) Remember how in the film, they have that little bit of Noel saying 'Where's everyone gone?' when Liam is on about how they'd just leave Noel on his own in the recording room during the recording of Morning Glory? Well, at the end of the Don't Go Away demo on Disc 2, guess what Noel says? So, we can categorically state I think that DGA (Disc 2 demo) is from the Morning Glory sessions, and it's also a really nice tie-in with the documentary (albeit a small one). Oh, and yes, this demo is indeed missing the middle eight!

It's not necessarily bad, per say....it's just utterly pointless and boring. I see no reason for its inclusion.

If We Shadows is absolutely marvelous Listening to it I was trying to think of how Liam would sound on it. I think the song actually really fits Noel's current vocal. Could you imagine Noel singing this in latter Oasis with Liam doing backing vox?

That and Getting Better Man I think, so far, are my favourites. DYWIM and Fade In-Out are epic though.

Could you imagine Noel singing this in latter Oasis with Liam doing backing vox? While I know Noel's lyrics were never the deepest (usually), input into his personal life, I think it's clear that Untitled and If We Shadows were written after Mustique. The vibe in the songs (and in Noel) is just so different. I'd wager on those two songs been demoed/written around the time/end of that doomed USA tour.

So what changes have people noticed on the original album tracks? Anything substantial? Quite honestly, I can't remember much difference between the original and remastered versions of DM and WTSMG.

Go on Facebook and go to the group "Oasis Collectors." There's a link to a fan-made "Disc 4" which includes the real Be Here Now Demo.
This is easy to do, so do it. Let me know how you get on.

Setting Sun was recorded in Cadena 40 Principales Studio in Madrid in July 1997, I recorded this session in tape and it´s definitely the same version, Noel also played Angel Child.
