My shout would be for Monk or Nigel Pearson if he keeps Leicester up.

Fair play to Leicester, nobody believed they would have stayed up,yet they did it,they stuck with Pearson and it paid off in the end, really happy for them

Struggling to think of a more fitting tribute than that anti-climatic failure of a performance.

Steve's one of my favourite players,a fantastic midfielder and captain and a club legend All these guys like him,Lampard,Xavi,Del Piero,Henry have been around for so long you started thinking they'd never retire or leave their clubs, and just the thought of Totti retiring as well in a season or two makes me wanna cry ( )

On this day last year (May 17th, 2014) Arsenal won the FA Cup with a thrilling come back against Hull, and lifted their first trophy in 9 years. On May 30th of this year we have a chance to retain the Cup in the Final against Aston Villa. Come on You Gooners!! #COYG #retainthecup

Arsenal vs. Man Utd, as we continue to chase a second place finish, and whereby a win guarantees we finish no lower than third. Even with a loss, we should still finish 3rd, so I'm not terribly buggered today. WENGER IN.

Fair result. Utd bossed the first half (although that was Arsenal's tactic). And in the second half Arsenal came out and played and actually probably should have found the winner with the Giroud shot that hit the side netting. Had a feeling of an end of season game, mind.
That's Arsenal finishing 3rd and Man Utd in 4th. An FA Cup win and I'd consider it another good season for the Arsenal. We've come along way since Bendnter, Denilson, Gervinho, Silvestde, Almunia, etc.

I've had a vision of the future... I see Beady’s Here Now making a post later this evening laughing about the Chelsea result and Fabregas getting sent off, after which he will proceed to criticise Mourinho.

If there are any Newcastle fans on here then that's nothing personal; I'm sure you're all lovely people. But there's an air of undue arrogance about the club and it would just put them right in their place to drop down a division for a couple of seasons. You're right about Big Sam wanting to get one over on them, although all Newcastle need to do is match Hull's result. Man United could still potentially be in with a chance of third spot so it will be very tough for Hull. But stranger things have happened...

There's something about Newcastle's arrogance that they're a massive club that makes me want them to go down. It would also be funny given how happy they were when Pardew left and that they thought they'd improve when he left, when in reality without a decent manager like him their shambles of a squad has been shown up for what it is.

Exactly. So many of them were quick to get on Pardew's back but I suppose they'll be happy now that they've got a proper Geordie in change.

(This post is devoted to: @wadfalkirk).
Today just symbolized how weak the Premier League has been this season. One might say that with the league wrapped up, Chelsea had fuck all to play for. But:
1. Let's be honest, they've been playing like shit for months now, and were finally found out by WBA 2. And teams in the past would still play for pride, but this Chelsea team has none of that. That's for damn sure.
As for the red card? Eh, was there malice involved? Probably not. But Cesc should know better than to fire a ball back in after an incident involving handbags. Soft, perhaps.
What's hilarious is that Maureen will now go yet another month without being Manager of the Month. And there's no way in hell he's winning the Year accolade.
This seasons champions will be forgotten. You look at that squad and it's amazing how they didn't sweep all teams aside. I was legitimately afraid that this Chelsea squad would go unbeaten, and the fact that they even struggled to cross the finish line against a whole league that struggled speaks volumes. Piss poor season all around.

Ha Liverpool. Just can't seem to crack Palace! Couldn't have happened to a more overrated player. Liverpool have been dire all season. Rodgers for the sack! If you're talking about Gerard you're definitely wrong. Gerard at his peak was the best midfielder in the world. Just ask Zidane.

If you're talking about Gerard you're definitely wrong. Gerard at his peak was the best midfielder in the world. Just ask Zidane. Ahead of Vieira? Yes simply because he was the biggest big game player. All his important goals and leadership puts him above. Just simply because of those mesmorising big game moments. Was truly a clutch player. I do love Viera though my god he's amazing. Why can't the premier league have these players now? The best midfielders of this generation to grace the English game are Gerard, Viera, Scholes and maybe Lampard but i'd put him on the next level below.

Paul Scholes?

On my post I put him in the 3 best midfielders in the premier league era. I only rank Gerard as the best because he single handedly got Liverpool to the Champions League final with his last minute goal against Olympiakos( one of the best goals ever), then in the final being responsible for the comeback of arguably the greatest champions league final games. The goals against West Ham in the fa cup final plus a magnitude of other big moments. Such a big game player.

wasnt big game when he turned up for england tho. that was scholes' biggest problem aswell. scholes was a better player tho in my opinion. and giggs was better than both. but neither of them were on zizou's level. or ronaldos (the real one). or kaka. or ronaldinho. and thats just brazil. there were so many far superior mids playing outside of the epl... and like most englishmen, they never proved themselves anywhere but in england. theres also arguements to be made about only ever playing at massive clubs. having the back-up from multiple world class players...
