Imagine if the league got cancelled this year. There'd be a Scouse Revolution.

I was dreading Arsenal’s match against Man City today, but it’s been postponed. Thank you, COVID19!
The hysteria is beyond stupid.

Mourinho is so shit currently. And to think Benfica's president almost comitted the lunacy of breaking the bank for him. It's not like our current coach is doing too great as he just blew a decent season in three weeks but Mourinho is a different level of shite.

What else can he do when half the team is injured and the other cant play 90 minutes before getting injured. The club should've listened to Poch when he said new players would be needed.

Yeah, you can't blame Mourinho for what's happening at Spurs. It's the long-term problem of not having a solid b-team to cover when the a-team gets injured. Chelsea had half a dozen injuries for the match against Everton, but they still had players like Willian, Giroud, and Gilmour to get on the pitch and play well. Spurs are missing Kane, Son, Sosokko, and Bergwijn, and they have no-one ready to cover for them. I'll be judging Jose based on next season, when he's had the chance to buy some players and actually implement a plan.
Doesn't help that Ndombele is being a disgrace to professional football, either. His running stats are probably not dissimilar to what mine would have been when I played in P.E, and I was a right fat bastard at the time.

I know I'm in the minority here, but watching good quality football without a crowd is a soothing, almost therapeutic experience. When you see a magnificent through pass you hear the ball being struck, similair to tennis there is nothing to take focus away from the beauty of the game itself. And when a goal is scored and these world class players celebrate, they sound and look just like some guys from a Sunday League side You strip the game back to its purest form, and that's pretty damn beautiful to me. I'm not saying I prefer football without fans or anything, but just like there's many downsides to it, there's an upside too.

Having to watch football through the telly. Ridiculously miserable.

The football season must not be voided

The football season must not be voided Assuming this Virus isn’t a several months thing.... Why not cancel the Euros, finish the domestic seasons during the summer instead. Have a break, and begin domestic 2020/2021 Seasons in September? Otherwise Liverpool are going to be fucked out of the title (lol) because you cannot give it to them while it’s still mathematically possible to lose it.

Too many legal ramifications for it not to be completed.

I'm 90% certain this is what's going to happen. But what about the Champion's League?

Well, now that that Euros will be postponed, I think the time is ideal to cancel all international football forever. Let's stick to club competitions.

Euro 2020 officially postponed until 2021. And then a Winter World Cup 2022 in Corruptar All of this is really testing my boundaries when it comes to being a traditionalist.

There is such a thing as too much football, and when the media is saturated with it, it can become all just white noise and insignificant. It's nice to have perfect calm and stillness - no transfer rumours, no training, no matches.... absolutely nothing. Makes you appreciate it even more when it comes back.
This must be what it was like to be a kid without 24/7 access to this. Growing up, my football fix would consist of reading the sports pages for any little snippets about my favourite teams, watching Match of the Day every Saturday, tuning into the Radio every weekend afternoon for a match and the big one of watching a European game mid week.
Nowadays, it's constantly on and that allure is taken away with familiarity. Part of the magic of it should be the mystique of it, and seeing gladiatorial footballers only rarely. I only ever saw the likes of Zidane and Ronaldo in the latter stages of the Champions League every year, or every 2-4 years at an international tournament. You would read all about how good these guys were which would fire the imagination more than a 5 second social media clip and, if lucky, would every now and then get to see it on live television. The thrill and excitement was always there in a way it never is with the likes of Messi and other star players today.
Maybe that's just lost innocence of youth, but I don't know - there's something that just makes you bored about today's footballers, and I think it's the incessant wall to wall coverage, and easily accessible clips, along with the bombardment of all adverts they feature in. The idea of the footballer being the gladiator, the titan, the mysterious figure will never be there again - they're all too robotic now, and it's all too obsessed with consumption and greed. Nothing inspires like it did when you were a kid.

From what I remember he had an absolute wand of a left peg.

Nothing inspires like it did when you were a kid. I get literally every single match on TV or streamed here in the US. Literally every single PL match, CL, EL, it’s insane. I get much more in the US than my good people of the UK! Moreover, when I was 11 and we moved to the US, Arsenal were occasionally on PayPerView where a single match cost $20 (in 1999 money!) I had to ask my parents’ permission, and just the one match alone was seen as a special event. Now it’s all over the place. I still don’t understand the Nations League - one too many competitions for me. But yes, while following the travesty of Arsenal gets me through each year, a small respite is okay I suppose.

What happens to players whose contracts end in June, as the 2019/20 season is now extended indefinitely?

Regardless of what you think about John Oliver, I am pretty sure his 30 second (plus stoppage time) rant about Liverpool FC is exactly what all of their fans are thinking:
As someone who is old enough to remember what it was like before we started winning all the championships in Boston, I feel you John.
