Not much point I have bought the 3cd version too, I have loads of oasis tote bags which as with any male won't ever be used. I don't have a record player so the vinyl no use and I have all the badges already. Only really the book that I want to see but I have the exhibition program which had most of the rare / unseen pictures in so thinking it's gonna very similar Don't get me wrong I've opened other boxsets etc but this one doesn't seem worth opening right now Things look nice in cellophane on the shelf :/

My boxset arrived today without the replica of the Whatever 12"... My copy of Whatever 12 inch wasn't in a box, but in the cardboard on the box. Email to sandbag to tell them that you didn't receive yours together with your box set. Don't forget to mention your order number. I've put vinyl, Whatever vinyl and live EP on my "vinyl corner" next to other vinyls in my room. Probably vinyl will stay unopened.

Sounds like clutching at straws to me. I've listened and can't hear too much difference. I was so annoyed when it as announced at the time because I had a feeling they'd rip us all of. I haven't bought the remasters and don't plan on doing so

Fargk you Noel,Owen Morris and whoever else was responsible for this shit.
These idiots had one opportunity to make this AMAZING MUSIC sound fresh and MUSICAL but instead they gave us the SAME OBNOXIOUS BRICKWALLED AND CLIPPING shitfest with only some EQ changes.
Listen to the needledrops from the 2009 vinyl floating around instead.

What's the story about the "Slide Away" mix without Noel's background vocals? They were missing on Stop the Clocks and here again. Didn't Noel like them or what?

Ok after a little research.... I have found ONE difference that I can clearly hear and point out.... at 1:03 on Slide Away... Noel's backing vocals are missing.

Yeah the differences literally aren't discernable. Anyone saying otherwise is a a victim of the placebo effect. Disappointing really, but it is only a remaster and not a remix. Though I think even calling it a remaster is a stretch.

I particularly noticed that the lead guitar parts on Columbia-- not the interlude part-- sounded crisper and brighter.

Only Columbia and Bring It On Down sounded 'different' to me. Having said that if you'd have played me them without knowing i wouldnt notice you'd changed them.

Listening to it, I'm not good at these kind of things, the only thing that seems pretty clear to me is that the bass is more noticeable (and I like it), and I don't know why, but Shakermaker sounds different?!?!? Maybe it's cause I haven't listened to it in a long time
Anyway, what a fucking masterpiece this album is

Listen to Up In The Sky Acoustic, You can hear the slide (Intro)wich you hardly hear in the previous release. Overall the mixes are clearer... AND LOUDER

By the sounds of it then it's rather underwhelming,
Quite glad I didn't buy it, as I'm extremely happy with my 'classic' DM.

I thought the 12 string on Up In The Sky is a bit more noticeable. Generally it's really disappointing.

Clearer, louder and a little bit brighter. I'm not disappointed, just disheartened as I was hoping for a bit more. Still, 'Listen Up' sounds much better as does 'Fade Away' and them two we're definitely the worst sounding of the bunch along with It's Good To Be Free, which still fucking hurts my ears. That song has horrible production. Seriously.
Well anyway, if it ain't broke, don't fix it...
As for Be Here Now, I cannot fuckin' wait!

Wanna be studio techs .,,,,fuck that I heard zep remastered stones remastered Beatles remastered ,,,,bullshit fucking way to get your money if you really think it's a huge difference , Wow Disagree, remasters can be crap (like Definitely Maybe is) or brilliant. The Classic Records all analogue remasterings of Zeppelin's catalogue are nothing short of incredible, Steve Hoffman's all analogue remastering of RHCP's "Stadium Arcadium" blows the hyper-compressed Vlado Meller-mastered CD out of the water. Agree, the original CD is over-compressed as it is but leave it to Oasis and Ian Cooper to prove they could slam it even harder. What's the fucking point? We KNOW there is headroom in the original tapes, the CD single versions of Supersonic, Some Might Say and Acquiesce run circles around the versions found on Definitely Maybe, WTSMG and Masterplan respectively. Do you know if there is a lossless version of hte safety masters somewhere? I'd like to upgrade my mp3 files.

To be honest, I don't notice any differences on CD1. The demos do sound better and there are some nice rarities on CD3, but the DM songs sound the same to my regular, average ears
