I'll eat up any and all Dylan between 1962 and 1967.

I'm still waiting for tomlivesforever review/thoughts on the complete Basement sessions. I was very happy with the 2 CD set. Wanted to know what I'm missing out on.

Bob's the last musical guest ever on the Late Show with Letterman tomorrow night... God bless. I thought it was Eddie Vedder?

Bob's the last musical guest ever on the Late Show with Letterman tomorrow night... God bless. I thought it was Eddie Vedder? I hear that, too. But, I'm certain Bill Murray's the final guest ever, as Bill was the first guest on the show and Bill's on tonight with musical guest Bob Dylan. God bless.

Bob on Letterman was a hoot as usual. Instead of yet another uninspired version of Like A Rolling Stone it was Bob as chanteuse. Bob the torch singer. Low level lighting as Bob crooned awkwardly with a headful of poofy hair. "You've come a long way, baby....uh....Bob, uh.....Roberta." Bob has never really played the game nor catered to the fans. He marches to his own drum.......always. I remember several years ago watching a Dylan interview and he said that most people over the last 40 years or so want him to be the guy with the acoustic guitar and harmonica singing protest songs. Well Bob said he hasn't been that guy since he was 24 years old and isn't sure why people keep focusing on a 8-12 month period of his life that he never repeated again.

I much prefer post 1996 Dylan to 1960s Dylan anyway.
Most people complaining about how he's lost it haven't even listened to a new Dylan album in 20 years.
The Tell Tales Signs album blows away anything he did in the 1960s.

Few artists can top this run of albums......... - Bringing It All Back Home (1965) - Highway 61 Revisited (1965) - Blonde On Blonde (1966) On top of that, they were all released within 13 months.

Very strong rumors that the next volume of the Bootleg Series will be material covering 1965 to 1966. From Bringing It All Back Home to Blonde On Blonde. The set will come in 2 CD version, 5 CD version and a massive collectors edition 18 CD version. Announcement could come as soon as next week/month.
I for one would very much like this to be volume 12 since it is my favorite Dylan period. I'd imagine it is the same for many many others.

Definitely my favourite Dylan period as well and with the sheer number of outstanding songs he was putting out at the time, there are sure to be some absolute gems in a bootleg series from this era.
