Love the new tune, has their big rock sound while still keeping it acoustic.

It's great how they gave a 2nd disc of demo's with the deluxe editions of their last couple of albums.
I wish more bands did it.

The lead singers voice is as good now as it ever was. Maybe because he has looked after it and himself, and not carried on like a pr1ck for all the world to see.

I like some of the Manic Street Preachers songs. But I've never really been a massive fan of theirs.

I am discovering them today.
I saw their live show on youtube and I was sure that this was some big late 80s, early 90s hit, I thought they did cover but it is their song and it new. I have no idea from where I know this song or chorus at least.

I love the Manics, their early albums are all so wildly different to each other but all fantastic
Generation Terrorist is quite glam metal with big GnR influences, it’s 70 mins long and massively ambitious for a debut. It does have some outstanding tracks such a Motorcycle Emptiness, You Love Us and Little Baby Nothing
Gold Against the Soul has big grunge influences and sounds very American. The band themselves have distanced themselves a little from it saying it was a mistake to sound like that but it again does have some good songs on it; From Despair to Where and La Tristesse Durera. Probably my least favourite from the early one though
The Holy Bible. This is in my top 10 albums of all time. The again change massively, going much darker and almost post-punk. This is the last with Richie who wrote a lot of their lyrics and went missing in 1994. Their isn’t a wasted second on the entire record. It isn’t the most accessible and their aren’t many sing along songs but once you get it, it’s just amazing.
Their 4th album, Everything Must Go, is where they develop the classic Manics sound which most people probably know them for. It’s radically different from The Holy Bible being very radio friendly and Brit Pop. Design for Life, Everything Must Go and Australia were huge singles. I like it and it’s made even more impressive that’s it’s off the back of losing an original member in such unusual circumstances. Most people start here although I prefer some of the earlier stuff
Hope that helps
