Article after article if you scroll down you see an abseloute barage of abuse for LG all the time.
He loves it really i know, but for fans it can become a bit tiring.
These people don't see the irony in logging into these sites just to slag him off. I've always said the one thing that proves he's still the only real rock star left is anything he says gets published and something that proves he's still massive is so many people feel the need to comment with hate.
And it goes for people on the shambles of a forum that is Oasisinet. I logged into there the other day to see if it's changed and i can't believe that about 5 years on after i left it the same 5 or 6 people are logging in everyday to call Liam kermit.

I don't read that shit anymore. It comes mainly from people who don't know who Oasis were, they've probably just heard Wonderwall a couple of times on the radio, they listen to crappy modern commercial music and they read those shit tabloids and gossip magazines.

i'm convinced that 90% of people who insult Beady Eye have never even listened to their new album or just go by what others are saying and follow them like sheep.
No one knows how to form their own opinion any more unfortunately

I'd understand it from the general public to some extent, but when I see it even here, I'm actually afraid that Beady eye won't be bothered to make another album

Noticed this on British sites, newspapers always use his most confrontational and vulgar quotes so it gives him a bad name. Doesn't help that most of the British public are thicker than pig shit though.

When I first got into Oasis ('95, when they started getting heavy airplay in South America, where I'm originally from), I didn't particularly LIKE Liam and Noel. I loved the shit out of their music, but to me, they were the epitome of "never meet your heroes". As time went by, and I started paying attention to WHAT they said more than to HOW the press reported it, I came to love them both for their candor, their bravado (not arrogance, it's not arrogance when you can back up your bluster, as the Gallaghers can), and most of all, their ability to turn the tables on an elitist public and media.
When I started reading British news sources, I was appalled by how classist it all feels. Noel gets it to a lesser degree nowadays, since he's mellowed out some with age and cozies up to the press more, but Liam gets a level of abuse that is so personal, and so visceral, and so far removed from the music (as others have said, the typical Oasis hater hasn't played an Oasis album since Morning Glory, more often than not), that it says much more about the people making the attacks than it does about whatever Liam quote set them into such a rabid frenzy.
Tony McCarroll's book has a great anecdote about Liam saying "they want the showman, they get the showman. But if they want the young Northern upstart, they can have that, too" with a smile. He knows exactly what he's doing, and so gets the last laugh.
Basketball player LeBron James gets massive amounts of hate for his sometimes-arrogant pronouncements about his own place in history. At one point, he hit back, saying "at the end of the day, I still get to be me tomorrow. The haters will still be them, stuck in the same lives". James isn't one of my favorite people in the world, but I did like that quote, and feel it applies to Liam quite well.
