After many, many, many years I started a rewatch of the original "Star Trek". I am delighted because I already had 2 episodes I had never seen before. They must have left them out in the German version I watched and loved as a child. And, see, I always was a bit different, because even as a little girl I adored sarcastic McCoy.

I really enjoyed the first part of Time on BBC One last night, very hard hitting and well acted. Mark needs to toughen up if he's to survive in this prison. I watched the 2nd part last night (They are all on iPlayer), it gets better. Yeah, I know that they're all on Iplayer but I like to watch it on a Sunday night and the same goes for most of these dramas on the BBC I like to watch them week by week on the TV rather than iplayer because it gives me something to watch on a certain night. And, the same goes for All4 if I'm watching a drama on Channel 4 I'll watch it week by week on the TV like Before We Die which is on a Wednesday night at the moment.

I'm rewatching Darkness Those Who Kill on Amazon Prime at the moment as I can't remember everything which happened. I started watching it last night after I had finished watching The Silence which I enjoyed but it's a pity that there was no follow up series.

Tenet. Just Michael Bay for people who want to look smart. I love a bit of time-travel wankery, me - but it needs to be based on compelling characters and a story that's worth telling. Nolan writes like an AI trying to compute human communication for the first time, and the Protagonist here is the exact same as the protagonists in all his other movies last decade: a bland, soulless robot who goes from one boring conversation to the next, generating just enough exposition to justify the next round of explosions. The set-pieces are cool in and of themselves, but you could say the same of Transformers. And who cares about plot complexity when the characters are so simple? To call their psychology childish would be an insult to children. Anyway, I'm tired of people applauding his originality when that pales in comparison to his sheer inability to write a human being that anyone gives a fuck about. I haven't seen it but I haven't bothered based on too many summaries like this and from theyknowwhatimean. I think he's got brilliant films here and there but the above description sounds like all the worst bits of a Nolan film times by a hundred. It seems so self-indulgent and the true mark of whether he's a great director will be found in how he responds to this film or just peddles the same nonsense.

It seems so self-indulgent and the true mark of whether he's a great director will be found in how he responds to this film or just peddles the same nonsense. I can take or leave everything he's done since The Prestige, to be honest. Great director, imaginative plots, brilliant set-pieces, but it all flatlines because of his complete inability to write engaging protagonists who's personality or actions I actually care about. It's like someone made a computer programme to generate engaging blockbuster concepts, but then let it write the script as well. Such good ideas written in such a dull, inhuman way. Take his characters out of their respective plots and they'd be about as compelling as a decomposing lettuce. If you didn't mind Inception or Intersteller, Tenet is probably worth a watch - for me, it amounts to the same thing. Cool ideas, great set-pieces, no soul.

I downloaded the Freesat amp last night to see if there's anything on there which isn't on Freeview. Probably not but still.

Time - BBC1 Pretty good, Sean Bean is going to turn into a bad ass imo. Then him and Stephen Graham are gonna cause some trouble Is he dead yet? (If you know Bean's history, you'll understand the question)

It's the second episode of Time on BBC One tonight which I'm looking forward to. But before that on BBC Two it's wildlife at 8pm.

I started watching a really good Australian drama on Netflix (after I'd watched my programmes) last night 'Them And Us' which is about two women who go on the run after witnessing a murder by bent cops. I've only watched two episodes so far so I'll watch some more later.

Actually that Australian drama which I'm watching on Netflix is called Wanted but the first series is titled Them And US so it's very easy to get mixed up with what it's actually called. Anyway, I've still got the last episode to watch of the season which I'll watch later.

Mad isn't it how female led comedies like Motherland, Fleabag, Starstruck et.al. are hyped up about as if it's something so progressive when Caroline Ahearne's The Royle Family debuted 23 years ago.
It's almost as if only middle class southern comedy counts....

Something on QF72. Those pilots were brave. Mad isn't it how female led comedies like Motherland, Fleabag, Starstruck et.al. are hyped up about as if it's something so progressive when Caroline Ahearne's The Royle Family debuted 23 years ago. It's almost as if only middle class southern comedy counts.... Kitty Flanigan (who lost it a few years back for me) had a show recently out, Fisk, that may have copied Ahearne with the CAN YOU HEAR ME? Yes we can all hear you joke.

Before We Die continues tonight on Channel 4 and it's getting really good now. I don't want to watch the Swedish version of the series on All4 just yet because I don't want to know what happens. So I might watch it at some point after the UK version has finished on Channel 4.

I Watch Bumblebee, An entertaining film for fans and youngsters. When it comes to the editing and the story telling I feel it is lacking. There are many scenes where the viewer is left confused wondering or hanging. Some scenes are simply repetitive and I feel not cut smoothly to be cohesive.
