If you like police thrillers then you might like this. It's about an anti corruption unit called AC12 who investigate bent coppers. I'm totally hooked on it and it's my favourite police drama. i think i might check it out, have you ever watched the wire? thats my all time favourite cop show about drug dealers in baltimore

Oh well, it's not too long now to wait before series 6 of Line Of Duty starts and I can't wait. It's better late than never. Also, I'm looking forward to watching Grace later tonight with John Simms as it should be good and I do like him he's a good actor. There's going to be more programmes of this during this year so I'll look out for those as well. is line of duty good it's all over my Facebook people posting about it coming back on our screens I've never watched it Love this series. New season starts tonight. Can't wait!

Line Of Duty of course it's just so good and I can't wait for next Sunday's episode. I read on the BBC entertainment pages that last night's episode has had the highest viewing figures ever 9.6 million viewers tuning in and making it the biggest audience in the police dramas history with the previous record of 9.1 million viewers in 2019 for the series finale.

Accidental Partridge time but here it goes.....
For such a well respected and money making franchise, it's surprising at how bad the majority of James Bond films are. There's an argument as to whether any of the Bond films can be considered genuinely great - even the much vaunted Goldfinger is unbelievably hokey. Even it's more outrageous antics don't really cut the mustard for me, especially if you grew up on a diet of Indiana Jones where the pacing and action is just unbelievably world class. In comparison, Bond's more adrenaline fuelled moments in the early, supposedly classic films can feel rather tame at times. There's the restraint and lowkey nature of a film like From Russia With Love that I like, but at the same time it drags at many points (an argument for Casino Royale personally).
For what it's worth, maybe the Daniel Craig ones are the only ones that could be classed as timeless, but even though his performances are raved about, he's only been in two good Bond films. The aforementioned Casino Royale has a strong case for being great (despite my reservations that others may see strength in) and Skyfall I think (pretty simple story but I thought its well paced, beautiful cinematography and nice character development). But Spectre is awful and Quantum of Solace is a mess.
And the majority of Bond films are just really poor film making - it's surprising that only Sam Mendes could be considered a genuinely great director from all the directors who filmed Bond (perhaps Martin Campbell who did Casino Royale although I haven't seen his other films). The rest of them are merely safe pairs of hands. So much potential with that franchise, and they've never really explored it as much as they should have. Like with Timothy Dalton - a great actor, a potentially great Bond being more serious and dark but given ridiculous scripts and stories. Casino Royale was the biggest reboot, but they since lost their nerve with Spectre and it's gone back to being cheesy and overblown.
It's a franchise that I don't love but I am fascinated by, merely for its potential and the glimpses of greatness it has shown for the last fifty years. What it needs to stay interesting is a top class director who can pursue their own vision without being limited by the Bond straitjacket. With that in mind, it was really disappointing that Danny Boyle quit as it would have been fascinating to see what he would have done.

On My5 the whole boxed set of Wentworth Prison is available to watch. However I've seen them all so I won't be watching. But if I hadn't then I would.

It's Line Of Duty tonight it's so good and I wonder what's going to happen this week apart from what I've read that is. The whole boxed set from series one to five is still available on BBC I Player to watch.

Now we're sucking disal! Last night's episode of Line Of Duty was so good and AC12 are back on form with what they do best. I wonder what will happen to DCI Jo Davidson though and if she'll make it to the end of the series.

The problem with Line Of Duty is that it's so addictive. Anyway, it was the final episode of Unforgotten last night and it was good. Infact it's probably the best series so far expect for the ending which I wasn't expecting.

My Wentworth Prison dvd series one to eight boxed set came today and now I can watch them all again and over the Easter weekend there's nothing much on tv I don't think apart from Line Of Duty. So I'm going to start and watch season one again later.

There's a new drama which starts on Channel 5 on Monday and it's on for four nights which looks good. Intruder it's called and it's about a couple whose life is perfect but gets thrown upside down when they're burgled by two teenagers and the husband murders one of them and they stage it to make it look like self defence. But not everyone is convinced about their story. So I will be watching that.

For some reason this movie left me feeling like an emotional wreck afterwards and now I can't stop thinking about it. I don't think it had quite the same effect last time I saw it so maybe it had more to do with something that was going on in my life. The soundtrack is great; lots of shoegaze and dream pop. Kevin Shields also recorded part of the soundtrack specifically for the movie. 5/5

Yet another great episode of Line Of Duty last night and Ryan is just horrible. Also who is H that's what we all want to know. I think it might be that it's PCC Sindhwani especially after last night's episode. But I've been surpisous about him even before last night, there's just something about him that isn't right. I could be wrong (and probably am) but that's what I think.
