Love how in the middle of this extreme thread derailment, thomas11 & theclock have come in with constructive BE related posts...
Dedication right there

In parts he doesn't sound that bad but in others he sounds absolutely atrocious the fact that he was cutting "nothing ever lasts forever" into "nothing ever lasts foreve-" really frustrates me, it's not even a long line to sing!

He's pretty good here as well:
Fucking love a stripped down Be Here Now. Make it happen, Noel.

I think he sounds great there & I think since Beady Eye's started he's sounded good the majority of the time!

Afraid but I felt Beady Eye didn't fit the main stage...at least for now. Be that as it may, I think Liam's vocal at Fuji was not so bad overall. Morning Son was great. I didn't realise how good the song was...

Another thread with the usual suspects arguing about fuck all.
I doubt anyone at the gigs really cared what his vocals sounded like, they were too busy enjoying themselves to notice or care. Especially when you're analysing Youtube videos recorded on mobile phones.
I've seen Liam in Oasis/Beady Eye 5 times and thought he sounded brilliant every time, then watched it again on Youtube and realised he really didn't. As I say though, I honestly couldn't give a shit. It's not like he was slurring in a drunken haze.
I think people take things far too seriously on here. And just to balance things out, I remember Noel going on the Chris Moyles show promoting DOYS whilst still completely mortal having not slept and thought it was hilarious.

Yeah...nobody paid anything for an interview.
When he went in the morning before the Wembley gig he was stone cold sober.

You always have an answer to somehow stick up for Noel don't you. Jesus.
He was promoting DOYS still drunk at 8 in the morning on Radio 1 to millions of people, hardly giving out a good impression is it, but as Nosworthy said, I didn't care, as a fan it was fucking hilarious.

I stick up for either if people are being nonsensical. Equating getting drunk the night before an interview with a getting drunk enough to effect your preformance at a festival is so nonsense it deserved pointing out. I too think that an irreverant interview is funny. I don't find crap performances particularly amusing. And I don't think they are the same thing. Just amazing that you think that it's OK for Liam to put out a crap vocal because once Noel got drunk before an interview. I also enjoy watching my friends singing kareoke after a few beers as well...if they were to show up for a shift at the hospital I wouldn't find it so acceptable. Call me a stickler but situations matter

Yeah...nobody paid anything for an interview. Speak for yourself. I pay for a BBC licence that paid for that interview!

This is hardly a crap performance anyway, it's the only proper video we've got of them and they sound just fine, Liam's a bit shaky at times but it's not crap by a long shot. Liam always seems to sound dodgy in between tours anyway, take Glastonbury and the Brit Awards for example.
